The LFO is retriggering the envelope, which is assigned to the VCA.
There is no connection of the envelope to the Osc spectral decay FX.
The Spectral Decay is retriggered when you press a new note, not when the envelope retriggers.

* or when the envelope is a short blip that briefly reduces the OscFX Depth to 0

Result: weird random pops and glitches, meters showing clipped peaks in Reaper.
I cannot reproduce any strange clicks or glitches while switching presets and playing notes, using the CLAP version in Reaper. Neither on Mac nor on Windows.

Which sample rate and buffer size are you using in Reaper?
I'm trying again today and no issues. Hmmm....

Will keep you posted if I figure out what's going on.

Was using 44.1khz and a 128 buffer with an RME FF802 FS. But again, can't reproduce this today.

MacOs Sequoia 15.5
StandaloneHost

Encountered a random bug with switching presets created in beta 1:

1: Load the last preset in the user folder - in this case Urs' drum kit
2: When switching to certain user created presets created with beta 1, they emit random sustained noise

Issue is fixable by either:
A: Switching to any preset other than the last preset in the user list, then back to incorrectly functioning preset
B: Re-saving the offending presets in beta 2

I have a slight glitch in audio playback for the entire engine(not just Zebra3/channel) when switching presets in cubase 15.0.6, and I can reproduce it. It seems to be FROM any preset TO any preset. All Ive tested so far have this behavior.

In Bitwig 6 beta and 5 retail. I get a CPU meter spike as I switch presets, but I hear no sound glitch. In Bitwig, Ive noticed this meter spike since the first Zebra3 beta, but again no audio engine glitch in BWS.

Post

There are slight glitches when the latency changes due to the different fx modules in the chain. Some hosts then take their time to react and even restart audio. So we're trying to figure out how to best deal with this, as we want lowest latency possible but also no glitches just while browsing presets.

Post

Bitwig's sandbox environment seems to handle the audio processing interruption a bit better than Cubase, and does not appear to restart audio. This is a very easy thing to work around, however.

Thanks again for this great synth!! Im so used to... new synth offerings being disappointing lately, so this is a wonderful surprise.

Can you share some of those presets, so we can try to reproduce this?
The ones that emit the noise when loaded, and the last preset in your user list?

And what host are you using?

Closing the GUI has caused now several times a crash
So far I could not reproduce this in Gig Performer 5 Pro on a Silicon Mac.
Could you contact our support, so we can get additional details and a crash report?

It's probably been reported before, but in Bitwig Studio some Zebra 3 controls aren't being exposed to the DAW for automation, in particular the Mod Wheel "MW" and Pitch Bend "PB" controls (Ctrl A-D too, possibly others). CLAP / VST3 makes no difference. Goal was to automate the MW but it doesn't appear to be possible at this time. Presumably it's a bug or just not yet implemented as I can't imagine that these controls would be omitted from being able to be externally automated.

Before it gets lost in the other thread, I am posting this here again:
I think something is wrong with the mixer module, input 2 is much softer (like -10 dB) compared to the original volume in the lane itself, input 1 is fine.

Nothing gets lost ;-)
