Post

This thread is dedicated to **native audio plugins** and **music tools** for Linux — focusing on what’s new, upcoming, or recently released.
### Topics Covered
🎛️ **Native** VST and CLAP plugins for Linux (LV2 or standalone are also welcome)
💻 **Linux Distributions** (Debian-, Arch-, Fedora-, etc. based)
🚫 **No Web-based audio tools** (but, well...)
🚫 **No AI-based audio platforms** like Udio or similar, please (one exception was MAGDA)
🚫 **Do not discuss Issues** but mention issues with Plugins
📆 **New releases or announcements from 2025 onward**
👨‍💻 **Developer announcements** are especially welcome!
:!: contains also Alpha and Beta Version of Plugins

### Purpose
As Linux gains more traction in music production, this thread aims to spotlight tools that **natively support Linux** instead of treating it as a secondary platform. Whether you’re a developer, producer, or experimenter, share and discuss new projects that push Linux audio forward.

Rumors:

[*] Kilohearts (know for Phaseplant - a comment claim they listen to Linux demands) comment found in the following Thread
[*] Ultra.Audio - https://www.reddit.com/r/linuxaudio/com ... ive_linux/

So these huge Developers, man...my heart is melting

Web Application:

Wavetabling is a very nice, growing up, online Wavetable Editor, you can:

- draw with different pens
- fractalize the picture
- export it as wav or picture
- preview and tune frames
- randomize a wavetable
- and more (Dev claim to add more weird stuff for editing wavetables - on youtube)

[*] https://www.taron.de/wavetabling/

You can use Wavetables in native Linux supported Plugins like:
  • Vital
  • u-he Hive

Nice to know my begging and wheedling worked with Ultra.Audio! I think this brings me up to nearly 20 developers that have made the decision to support Linux after I contacted them and talked to them about supporting Linux. I especially like all of the "plus 1's" that Linux users chimed in with on the Ultra.Audio thread! It shows that we need to all be involved in chiming in and asking for things we want. :)

Fantastic to read the comment from Kilohearts too! Those who need that software should speak up and let them know. :)
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

I don't know. I would imagine some might.

EDIT: I did some searching, and it doesn't look like many do...... yet.

i am with you to poke the dev's.
so it is a good time to support all 3 major OS'
Also Plugin Frameworks like JUCE doing well support all 3.

Post

I feel sufficiently poked! We will look at Linux shortly. Hopefully not too hard (Ultra uses JUCE).
