Bad english language.

I hate Tracktion... only for a thing : absence of mixer. (Yeees, this soft is great:D)
Ok, there's Tfmixer, good but only 8 tracks, no send, etc.
Ok, there's CMX844, but no possibily to write the track's names, only 8+4 tracks, etc.
Ok, there is the racks, but no good visual.
Ok, senderella, etc., etc.

I know, I suppose it's a choice of the conceptor.

I should like find a mixer as Jeskola mixer or Ldmixer (from Buzz). I've no found.
I shall must try to create a mixer with Synthedit or Synthmaker. Other possibilities ?
A mixer is missing to me. I've two screens : on a screen, the tracks and on the other screen, the mixer, dream.

Thanx.
Daniel.

Welcome to KvR. ;)

Tracktion was made with no mixer -on purpose-. You won't find one. It's not there. Who knows what they've come up with for "mixer-die-hards" in T2, but in T1 you can wish and pray with all your might and it still won't be there.

If that's enough reason for you to hate Tracktion, then I can certainly understand why you do. ;)

Go buy OPlat, Fruity, Sonar, Cubase.. if you need a mixer, don't use Tracktion. Period. I'm about 99% certain that the "no mixer" paradigm is going to persist into T2. You have a lot of choices for something else that will fit your way of working.

Me, I think everything *but* Tracktion sucks a big rubber dildo, and I've owned/tried almost every sequencer in existence. The only two left on my machine are OPlat (which I use for my more loop and rythmic based stuff) and Tracktion (which I use for everything else).

Good hunting.

Please tell me you didnt buy Tracktion yet. There are hundreds of sequencers with mixers. Consider one of those if its that important to you.

Yah, I wish they'd ship the damnable thing already! :hihi:

Not like it's stopping me from working (the flu did a good enough job of that lately).. I'm just naturally impatient! :-o :D

just buy eXT and build a 16ch mixer in that.. with full support for up at 15 sends... you can leave the actual send fx in eXT, or even route them to the individual outs and have your send FX in Tracktion.

Regardless, it always seems more trouble than it's worth. I still can't see any information that a mixer provides that isn't already right in front of you.

I'm 100%!

I repeat : this soft is great. No choice, I must buy T2. I've used Cubase and all the others, years and years. T is the best. :D
But a mixer is missing. In don't think T. is a closed soft. There is possibility to work with vstis, for example. Why no mixer ? :x
In front of me, there's a studiomaster, a real mixer. I'm sorry, this custom of mixers is too in me. :(

I've no understood all the messages, too hard to translate

Thje MAIN reason Tracktion IS so GREAT is that there is NO mixer. If you want a mixer, go elsewhere. Id you want Tracktion get used to a NEW WAY. IT's that simple.....

Beno, Thanks for the confirmation....

If it's got a mixer, it ain't Tracktion...

No. And no. Tracktion is great for many reasons. And not because he has no mixer. It's a strange argument to say that and reduce Tracktion's quality to a soft without mixer. :?:
And I suppose that I can estimate Tracktion for some reasons and think he has failings (mixer missing).
My best moment when i create a piece of music is also to mix this music.
Mixer in Tracktion is missing for me, and not for you. Nice. No problem.
Ther's a sect of the "no-mixer" ? :D

I assume english isn't your first language? Where are you, maybe someone can translate it... :)

A mixer is a tactile thing... you know, ride the faders with your fingers... look at levels of instrumentation physically plugged into the mixer. A mouse and virtual mixer remove all tactile aspects of mixing. Your levels are reflected right there in fornt of you anyway.. thus a mixer really serves little purpose because it no longer represents what it was intended for. It becomes a comfort device more than anything else.

Why label tracks in a mixer, when you can label the tracks in your edit? Why grab a mixer vol/pan, then a vol/pan sits right there on your track? Hopefully we'll get folders and what not to make oganization (and bussing) easier... but surely that's a more useful improvement than a mixer.

Besides, with support for controllers.. you can get that tactile desire in v2. IMHO, a mixer makes a lot more sense as a physical object you can touch...
