Duoflux modulation off = mute channel?

This plugin is very cool, but seems to be very awkward for the two things I would most want to do with it. I want to model the effect of these two classic products:

BOSS CEB-3: Bass Chorus
Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus

The bass chorus pedal has a crossover to allow lower frequencies to pass through unaffected. The guitar amp has chorus applied to only one of its two channels.

However, turning modulation off in Duoflux mutes the channel entirely. Is this on purpose? Is there an easy way to have audio pass through a channel unaffected?
