no software sequencer has a 'mixer' - a mixer is hardware - with Tracktion the volume-faders can't be arranged vertically beside each other like in a mixer...hjack wrote:wtf, Traktion has no mixer

Thou I do not need a mixer and if you think about it Tracktion actually has a vertical mixer, less the sends, I would not rule out some improvement in that direction in T2.
I don't think we will see a traditional mixer like with the big boys but we might see FX sends or maybe even a pull down resizable mixer of some sort.
And if not that's just fine with me.

Virtual Mixers (a la cubase) have a vol/pan aux and vst allocations all in a neat row. I think you'll find that Tracktion has that at the end of each track, arranged horizontaly and not verticaly.

Sonar has a mixer 'view'; I dont use it.
ProTools has a mixer 'view'; If it wasnt for the fact that its the easiest place to set up buses and routing, I wouldnt use it.

well, what is a mixer for? it's for mixing signals
it's just done differently in Tracktion, either by routing tracks into other tracks or by using rack filters
