Found a fix for the glitching I was hearing. I was playing through the DAW 'live' on my keyboard and getting occasional pops/glitches in every combination of Au/VST3 plugins, just Serum 2 alone in one layer with the patch "BA - Fretless Bass" would cause it.
Then I loaded it standalone and it was still doing it, but this was the breakthrough because in standalone mode it still had the lower menu (below the keys) visible and I realised it was running the transport then stopping it with every note I played! I could see play and stop getting triggered.
The default mode seems to be MIDI / Quick Stop. When I selected a different mode, Manual Start/Stop, the glitching stopped. This doesn't seem to be an issue if the transport is running in play or record mode in a DAW just when the transport is stopped but at least I have a fix for when I just want to play keys.
It's the 7th icon along from bottom left that resembles a waveform.
One annoyance is the mode seems to reset every time I load a new preset so that could get old fast.

I've noticed when I click on a new preset, I get the beach ball each time before it changes from one preset to another. Some are taking over a minute to load, which is not what I normally experience with my M2 Mac, which hasn't been sluggish with anything. Are you noticing a lag here, or is there some setting I haven't found?

Unify v2: Where Inspiration Is Captured Instantly: I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the phenomenal Unify v2 update. I installed it just yesterday and honestly—what an incredible job.
Everything feels so much easier now: opening modules, using macros, expanding layers, and saving the presets I create is all very fluid and intuitive. And please, never remove those big, clear icons—they’re fantastic and make navigating Unify a joy. I also really appreciate the guides you write for reinstalling, loading libraries into Unify, and similar topics. I own plugins whose installation process is nearly impossible to figure out and poorly documented, so having clear, user-focused guidance like yours is incredibly valuable. The fact that you truly put yourself on the user’s side says a lot. One of my favorite new features is the addition of the Record button to capture inspiration (something I used heavily in FL Studio). I haven’t heard a single audio click or experienced any crashes, and everything feels very snappy when browsing sounds. I’m not sure if Unify processes internally at 32-bit floating point, but the synths I’ve used sound excellent. And I feel like I’ve only just scratched the surface of what Unify can do. Thank you for your time and for listening to your users. I just wanted to share this feedback and congratulate you on such an impressive creative tool that you’ve built with Unify.
Greetings!

Really hope they update this browser to allow us a drag n drop option. I'm so used to my daws browser to drag n drop instruments / efx.
hopefully they add some fixes to the browser for things like this.
Rows - would be so much better in the browser to host > Fx | Instrument | Presets

The latest update with the included StepSequencer and other features, makes Unify 2 an absolute powerhouse of a plug-in! John Lehmkuhl and company, have been working really hard to make Unify both a magnificent host and plug-in.
As a Mac user, it’s great to be able to use VST’s inside of Logic Pro via Unify’s plug-in hosting. Creating new instruments by layering my 3rd party plug-ins on top of each other, provides nearly endless sonic possibilities. And the support provided has been top-notch!!

Hi,
I just purchased Unify 2 . I have many VST Synths, VST FX, and Sample Libraries, so adding Unify 2 to my studio tool kit made a lot of sense, great for sound design, and for creative musical ideas, ..etc.
Any very good video tutorials that show it in-depth ?
i.e. When I place a VST Instrument/synth in a layer, can I still edit the Instrument while it is in Unify 2, and save it as a new preset ? I'm guessing Yes, but I just wanted to double check.
Thanks.
