Ultra Audio - Ultra (A fancy Vital-style synth that popped up out of nowhere)

The basic sound of Ultra is really good, especially on the high quality setting (in preferences). It’s the first virtual synth I’ve seen in a while that I actually wanted to dive into and program myself, mainly because it sounds so good. Also, the layout of the controls is very straightforward and easy to work with. I also wish the manual was downloadable and not just that online thing.

Somewhere else I read Nigel saying "Up to mid Feb" but not sure of thatswilow11 wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 3:04 am I'm sure it's written in this thread, but how long is the intro pricing in place?

What is unique and exciting about this synth is that you can play single cycles like multisamples, and the single cycle waveforms are stretched without chipmunkization. Normal wavetables aren’t like that. It allows for real sounding instruments to be made from wavetables.

Big fan of cymatics video long ago. Nice to see the creator of that video here.
Bought it!
The purchase comes with 200 points for free so you can download presets and packs. I recommend to check presets one by one, each preset costs 3 points. While the whole soundpacks could be between 30 and 55. To make good use and advantage of your points, buy only the sounds you like instead whole packs (unless you like the whole pack).
I will play with the synth and programing part tomorrow.
Good sounding synth, nice preset manager and clean GUI.
Have a good day

Can't tell if we use this thread or the other one but I'm curious about the RTO. I've opted in on the reduced current price. If i pause my RTO at some stage and resume it later, will it be at the same reduced price?ultra_audio wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 7:05 pmyes, we won't end the intro just yet....syncline wrote: Sat Jan 31, 2026 9:14 pmHello Nigel,

Also feature request (repeating from other thread)- something like Disperser or the diffusor filter in Serum 2. I know Current have it as a warp mode but this is a bit annoying because obviously you lose a warp mode. Phase Plant allow it directly to the wavetable which is lovely. Anyway, for modern sounds, Phase dispersion is very useful imo.
