This is almost certainly not correct. First, the 3397 is not a chip used in the M6/1000, it didn't exist then. The CEM 3396 is an original CEM chip. The PA397 and Cool Audio 3397 are modern recreations of the 3396.Old Norse wrote: Wed Dec 17, 2025 3:05 pm Behringer's own description:

The main point though is that they are all essentially the same inside and there would be no real reason to include two of them in one synth unless you were trying to use two filters in the same chip, and, in that case, there are better choices with lower pin counts. This is almost certainly one 3397 and the 3396 reference is trying to tie lineage to the M6/1000.
