I made a single request 7 years ago and it went nowhere. Voted up about a dozen others over the years and they went nowhere.

That’s all I need to know.

So, your experience is the same, yet I'm "bitter about it" and you're "just a normal guy"

uh huh...

Here I thought the purpose of a forum was to discuss, yet all you do is try to shut down the conversation...

I'm here to give my opinion on the direction Presonus and Studio One is going. What I am NOT here for, is unrequested life advice, from you.

It's all about your personal attitude toward the situation. I work in software development myself (not music software) and recently had the opportunity to ask our product manager, “Are customer requests important?” And he said, “No, we have our own vision.” Times have changed, especially since a number of companies have grown to corporate size and are mainly driven by financial interests.

It sure appears that way.

It is. But this is a public forum and being challenged once in a while is part of the landscape and the price of admission. If that troubles you - you probably shouldn't hang out here.

So - it's OK for you to "give" YOUR opinion - but anyone else is not allowed to offer theirs? Wow.

If you are interpreting anything I say as "life advice" - that is on you. I have zero control on how you will (or will not) take something. But if you are gonna hang out here - it's simple - you either need to toughen your skin when challenged or simply ignore posts if they bother you.

Finally - @Crossinger nailed it. It's the vibe you give off - that makes your posts sound bitter. It's as if Presonus (or somebody out there) owes you something and every time you post on S1 - it feels like you need to "collect".

You want to talk about a shift change. Those we're the days when our voices ( customers ) actually mattered and they ( presonus ) we're actually concerned about our idea's and requests. ;)
Agreed. Times have changed for sure...but that was also when Studio One was still in it's growth phase - trying to be everything to everyone and scraping for new users wherever Presonus could find them

That is not the case now - today this is about competition and profitablity. This is what happens when private equity comes calling:

The warm fuzzies from the past - are gone.

That's the problem with big enterprises. There's still some small business like Bitwig, Ableton and few others.
Cubase, Logic, PT, DP, S1 and some other are property of bigger funds that search just benefits.
The only DAW that's out of this battle is Sonar/Cakewalk... But it's in a static development point.

Very interesting video with one of the founding developers of cubase and s1

Bitwig 6 • Diva, Dune, Serum, and UVI Falcon are my Daily Drivers • Drum Machines • Harrison 32c + DSM 3 + American Class A Enjoyer • Apple M4 Max • Apollo User • DJ • Dance Music is life

Right... Telling me I'm too bitter to use Studio One, so I should stop using it... Telling me I'm not "tough enough" to continue using the KVR forum...

Those aren't opinions on Studio One.

Presonus DOES owe customers what they claimed to be offering. Look at their latest videos on YouTube and the responses they are getting there. You can ignore the fact they are driving away customers. I won't.

You just come across as a corporate shill. You need to constantly contradict any criticism.

I don't need, or want your advice. Ever.

I just hope they add part containers (clips) for automation tracks and let you change the destination plugin/parameter for the part after creating it before Fender runs PreSonus and Studio One into the ground.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

I did not have the time to comment the whole debacle as it happened but I read this thread from time to time and I must say that this post made my day. :tu:
