So, your experience is the same, yet I'm "bitter about it" and you're "just a normal guy"Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 11:16 pm Frankly - your dislike for the product is very clear - practically every time you post. Why even bother with S1 if you are so bitter about it?
I made a single request 7 years ago and it went nowhere. Voted up about a dozen others over the years and they went nowhere.
That’s all I need to know.

It's all about your personal attitude toward the situation. I work in software development myself (not music software) and recently had the opportunity to ask our product manager, “Are customer requests important?” And he said, “No, we have our own vision.” Times have changed, especially since a number of companies have grown to corporate size and are mainly driven by financial interests.thievedletter wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 8:21 am So, your experience is the same, yet I'm "bitter about it" and you're "just a normal guy"

It sure appears that way.thievedletter wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 8:21 am So, your experience is the same, yet I'm "bitter about it" and you're "just a normal guy"
It is. But this is a public forum and being challenged once in a while is part of the landscape and the price of admission. If that troubles you - you probably shouldn't hang out here.thievedletter wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 8:21 amHere I thought the purpose of a forum was to discuss, yet all you do is try to shut down the conversation...
So - it's OK for you to "give" YOUR opinion - but anyone else is not allowed to offer theirs? Wow.thievedletter wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 8:21 amI'm here to give my opinion on the direction Presonus and Studio One is going. What I am NOT here for, is unrequested life advice, from you.
That's the problem with big enterprises. There's still some small business like Bitwig, Ableton and few others.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 5:41 pmAgreed. Times have changed for sure...but that was also when Studio One was still in it's growth phase - trying to be everything to everyone and scraping for new users wherever Presonus could find themtrusampler wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 5:33 pmI remember when Rick Naqvi and Jonathan Hillman would frequent amongst us common folk in the user forums from the old days. You want to talk about a shift change. Those we're the days when our voices ( customers ) actually mattered and they ( presonus ) we're actually concerned about our idea's and requests.![]()
That is not the case now - today this is about competition and profitablity. This is what happens when private equity comes calling:

The warm fuzzies from the past - are gone.

Thanks for this. Good stuff.qtheerearranger wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:07 pm Very interesting video with one of the founding developers of cubase and s1
Right... Telling me I'm too bitter to use Studio One, so I should stop using it... Telling me I'm not "tough enough" to continue using the KVR forum...Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 12:42 pm If you are interpreting anything I say as "life advice" - that is on you. I have zero control on how you will (or will not) take something. But if you are gonna hang out here - it's simple - you either need to toughen your skin when challenged or simply ignore posts if they bother you.
Finally - @Crossinger nailed it. It's the vibe you give off - that makes your posts sound bitter. It's as if Presonus (or somebody out there) owes you something and every time you post on S1 - it feels like you need to "collect".

I did not have the time to comment the whole debacle as it happened but I read this thread from time to time and I must say that this post made my day.thievedletter wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 8:21 amSo, your experience is the same, yet I'm "bitter about it" and you're "just a normal guy"Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 11:16 pm Frankly - your dislike for the product is very clear - practically every time you post.
