As a few other people said, this should have been within the year and been 7.3 or 7.5. Its a cash grab and I think it will backfire on them especially tied to the rebrand- as a free update for people who upgraded top V7 it would have been a good PR move....ultimately people will vote with their wallets and the upgrade from V6 is decent vale so maybe they will just get 2 year cycles.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Well, the post title says it all "Targeting". Obviously, they missed. And of course, one person's major feature is another's minor update. Or maybe not...

I cannot recall an update I bought for the major new features. I’m usually more attracted by one or more QoL improvements mentioned on page 2 of the changelog.jonljacobi wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 2:17 am And of course, one person's major feature is another's minor update. Or maybe not...

What are you kind folks bickering about? I love Studio One, and the fact that they make hardware and software...together, well I have always thought that was cool, and Avid has that as well, an ecosystem...I think that is fantastic!
But you guys know what???
Just get MuLab for a hundred bucks, seriously...not kidding and I do not represent MuTools.
Get it, it is a beautiful DAW, and also a basically stand alone modular sound design environment.
I mean, you can combine your own VST's with MuLabs stuff quite freely...WOW!!!

Thank you for responding.
I play rock music too...prolly something like a Van Halen AC/DC disciple. Perhaps I will post a vid here...on good ol' KVR... I would value the opinions of KVR members on my "music", as I have never put anything out there as of yet.
As for sound design, well these modern tools are simply fantastic, I am quite grateful for the advent of the personal computer! Even Apple!!! Because I am a PC guy, alright...
There is a line in an old Rage Against The Machine song, where Zach asks...
"What a better place than here?
What a better time than now"?

What are all the 4 major upgrades within a year that were promised?
You are all speculating!
Is this becoming tiresome? I think the app will keep improving, I will continue to support.

Yeah I get it. But to what end? We want to keep beating a dead horse from Sept 2024? Especially now that Studio One and its v7 cycle is dead?
I can’t think of another topic around here that is deader than dirt than that tired video and the expectations manufactured from it.
VPThen it should be simple for you to stop engaging with it. Yet...

Well all I know is that I am referring to my own life, and getting it into shape!jamcat wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 6:26 pm But wasn’t he singing about starting an armed communist revolution, not using computers to make music?
