Sorry if I sound a bit thick about this but can someone explain why a mixer is so important?
Because Tracktion in the first real sequencer I have used and never having had a mixer I learned to make music the Tracktion way.
I keep coming accross posts complaining about the lack of a mixer and wondered if Tracktion doesn't have one and cubase etc does whats the deal?
It seems an deliberate decision to leave a mixer out of Tracktion but if some of you guys can put me straight.
As an aside, there seems to be lots of people getting wet pants over the release of T2, some people post everyday with the latest news of what may or may not be included. Ok I know its a good program but if the update doesn't come for another year its not a prob. T1 still does the job fine or am I just old and cynical.
Why do some folk want a mixer?

Many people are used to real mixers. Hence most of the early audio recording packages presented mixer-like views or window.
Nowadays, there are many people who have never used a real mixer, and many developers have dispensed with a reliance on a mixer-like view or window.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."
