Oh boy, I've wanted a D-50 ever since the first day the hardware was released and $49 is a great price for the plugin. However I don't see any way to install the demo. I've got Roland Cloud installed and have an account at the free level which allows "Ability to purchase Lifetime Keys".

However when I try to find a demo it keeps asking me to sign up for a paid subscription which is just not going to happen.

So am I missing something or is there no way to install the demo and make a one time purchase? Obviously I know what a D-50 sounds like but I want to try the demo first to check performance and to see just how intrusive the Cloud app is when using the plugin.

Money is kind of tight right now so it might be better if I can't purchase at this time but the temptation to fulfill a decades long desire to own a D-50 is pretty strong. :?

According to AI the only two ways you can demo something is by either signing up for a free 30 day trial of ultimate or when they offer a "test drive". I'm not sure if you've previously had a paid membership if you can then have the free Ultimate trial.

Personally I view the D50 as Beelzebub's left testicle (with the DX7 as the right one) but it's all a matter of taste.

Ok thanks I'll pass then. Sorry Eric, I wanted to give you a sale but Roland's corporate shenanigans are just not something I need to deal with right now. If they would just sell a plugin without the need for all the other bloat and crap I'd be in....otherwise they're just losing sales.

crazy that you can get so much now for so little.
Around March 2025, some vendors sold T-Racks 6 MAX (Full & Upgrade) for 30 bucks.

I got my T-Racks 6 MAX Upgrade from Producerspot for 30.

That's the MAX (pun intended :hihi: ) I would spend on any IKM product.
Ah ok. So they just devalued their software then. Great for users though, if you're willing to deal with IKM as a company.

Don't forget it's only $41.16 with code GROUP

It's a crazy cheap way to get as close a d-50 emulation as you're ever going to see, unless The Usual Suspects come along and do a ROM based emulation at some point. I don't have any issues with the rolandcloud auth thing being in the background (mac).

If you own Weiss Complete Collection 2, the upgrade price to Weiss Complete Collection 3, which comes with Weiss DS 5 is “only” $249.01 USD”.

Stop! Tempt me no further. :hihi:

I've already uninstalled the RCM but of course could install it again. Dealing with it to try getting a demo gave me enough of a headache today so I'm leery of how the purchase/install/authorize would go. :?

Still it's very tempting......

I only have the MM-1 maximiser and my price is 449. I think I´ll ruin my kidney with booze instead. seems less radical.

Actually Peter said it was a price error. Took a while to fix and I almost pass it.

IMO the only part of IKM that's worth is T-Racks.

30 or 50 dollars.. it is still a far cry from the 'normal' price.

Agree that T-Racks is worth it but they also have some other good stuff most of which they discontinued. I still use SampleTron because it sounds freaking great, still use Syntronik also for the same reason and Mixbox is handy, but those have all been discontinued for some unknown reason. I also like Tonex and Amplitube which they still sell. But yeah their "ecosystem" is such crap that I have been trying to avoid buying anything new from them.

I bought MIxBox (beside several other IKM products) and think it is a very good tool, which I planned to use for many years. They just discontinued it suddenly and since then I stay away buying more products from them as a professional user. I need trust in development of the tools I buy for my business and as an artist.

I despise IKM even if some of their plugins are cool. The constant begging for an upsell on every page of every plugin is so disrespectful as a customer. If you need tonex/amplitube style emus, Gianni Chiarello has made some really nice free plugins that connect you to tone3000, which is a free collection of IRs and probably better than tonenet. https://giannichiarello.com/product/nic ... s-plugins/
