Hey,
I think there are a lot of really cool features in MuLab and also some things that are tricky to wrap one's head around. I'm down to make some Youtube tutorials on the features that I like the most (so other people can understand/get to them faster). My only concern is that it would be good if someone can review my tutorials before I make them searchable to make sure what I am saying is accurate. [I am very new to MuLab and I don't want to post stuff that might be off]
Is the best way to post a tutorial here (before making it searchable on Youtube) for you to check it out (and make sure I didn't get something wrong)?
Thanks.

Hey, nice to hear that. One thing MuLab really needs is more exposure. A lot of people feel intimidated by ML. For me, the best way to bring people to ML would be a beginner series. It doesn’t need to go deep into details that don’t make sense for someone just starting out. Speaking for myself, I just want to make music quickly, so a series like that would be very welcome.

Good idea!
Perhaps focus on how you use the features you like to do something cool (rather than just on features by themselves).
If you post it here, we can follow your steps to be sure they are complete and clear.

Yes i'll surely support that :tu:
You can make a tutorial video and share it via Youtube and set it "Unlisted" and share the link here. That way we can see it here and double-check or make suggestions without the video already going public.

Great. I'll do that. I'm a bit busy with other stuff right now but hopefully in a couple weeks I can post my first tutorial for review here. What I'd like to focus on for the first one is the nuances between the high level objects:
- composer
- track
- rack
- mux modular
- Live matrix
- Timeline

Essentially how these come together, how they differ (ex. some have Front panels, some don't, ex2. some are modular patches some are not, etc).

For the 2nd tutorial I will likely do one on how to setup the MIDI out. I know there is some info on that already but I'd like to do my version which would likely be a bit more nuanced/in depth (talking about the project level tempo + the composer ones inheriting from it, how to nudge, etc).

I would love to eventually do a 3rd one on the Front panel GUI builder, but I have very limited experience with it right now, so I'd need to play with it a lot more to be able to make an expanded tutorial on it (I know there is already one out there). The other 2 above I can already make (given I have the time to do them).

Universe is looking forward to your videos

Like the MuLib, this needs a sticky post solely for videos. Maybe MuVid? ;)

basic connections detail would be good. its been a few years and i am still not able to suss it out how to make the master channel output to 13 and 14 instead of 1 and 2. i added outputs to 2 matrixes and nothing works except 1 and 2. im lost.

i tried to get yalls involved when i started the wiki but it wasnt the right format? i thought the information is what mattered. :smack:

See attached example project.
I added 3 extra audio output modules in the composer, thus 4 in total.
In the modular parent of the composer, and that's in this case the top modular level = project modular area, the composer now has 4 audio output pins. I also added 4 audio outputs in the project modular area which do connect to the audio device and connected the composer outs to these project outs. Double click a project audio output to choose the audio device pins. Now in the rack desk of the composer you'll be able to choose between these outputs.
Hope this helps you seeing the modular picture.

What does this mean? Don't know the word "yalls".

See the docs: https://www.mutools.com/info/M10/docs/
And the YT tutors: https://www.youtube.com/mutools

More new videos are planned. I agree that's necesarry.
It's a matter of finding the time.
