Yeah understood. The point however, is that you'd have templates to start off with. Which may help newbies.

What may be useful is a Table(s) with most-often-used midi maps and function shortcuts.

things have not changed here!
instagram is an easy place to get followers. but then again i exhibited at knobcon twice. it cost me very little to do so. it was hard work for 2 days both visits but im now in a couple videos and have constant visitors to my site. i was featured in a japanese rag and have since had a steady flow from that part of the world. but honestly instagram has been the single most return for the time i spend. and i dont need to be fake or overly reaching for something to post about. ableton live has several accounts, based in cities around the world by locals (probobly paid guys) who show just a small bit about this new feature etc. but then those need to be liked by everybodys brother and mom. it does seem to be a coordinated swarm. the constant insanity released by max diyers is exciting and the base program also manages to get top companies to build ableton into their hardware.... its truly a multi pronged attack! fls has j-dilla and trap mumblers and drum and bass users. im a fan actually. some of the cool shit in fls is just intuitive as funk like lfo automation... its on my want list. reaper is difficult until you work on a workflow. videos are amazing but somebody needs to give them to you. reaper facebook groups are great for answers if you can bring yourself to ask questions. their actions list is something else! map literally anything(s) to any input, midi or hid. dig and find special things people have written like sequencers, fx, too much to list

is facebook group out of the question? 'mutools/mulab users' or some such? get more musicians. how about discord? it really is about staying in touch and it gives your disciples a place to get points. all this is free

i think it has colors and proportions like its a toy. no offense, its my genuine impression. no other pro daw has this look. i think look is super important. UI is central to a consumers decision to buy or not imho. but i get it, it may never change. people with money are fickle and make choices based on irrelevant criteria. but also the reach of your propaganda machine. ableton live has high legitimacy score cultivated over many years. their typography and ux design is consistent across all print and website media. i guess its the power of industrial design by those who do it professionally. and as far as i can tell ableton's design was made once the way it is and hasnt changed since. no other daw or synth has a new look every release. that effort may well be 'spinning wheels' or unnecessary effort when it should be given to a pro once and done. muzys had it moreso than mulab. but hey this is known already and i take it that jo feels some kind of way about it. this may be falling on deaf ears. ok! its just my observation, take or leave it. you know what is important to you.

that being said, i think paul g, the starter of this thread doesnt have the right mojo at all. his client websites are NOT as impressive as he thinks they are. hes not the pro i think mulab needs.

maybe a combination of exhibiting at a trade show with plenty of influencers to interview your products and a trip to ux/ui design world would produce more takers.
the auto world cant be wrong with all the attention they give to fit and form. vw or audi just wouldnt be as popular without the 'look'. the new girl wouldnt have so many suitors if she didnt have the 'look'. look is way important. way. its central.

also airing dirty laundry or simply discussion like this will have a detrimental effect on buyers opinions. they for the most part want someone to tell them what is what, they dont necessarily want to tell you why or how.
everyone knows how advanced bitwig is. so why dont they have more popularity? this is a good question to ask and to be honest about. live is treated as a standard and bitwig is treated like a kid brothers nerdy project! live also has 3rd party development in max and it all has a great look. again with the looks. there must be something to it!
