So after working with the beta for a month, as is tradition lol, i finally read the manual.
Sorry about some of the stupid questions or bug reports i wrote because of misunderstandings.

i took some notes while reading on typo's and incorrect nomenclature vs the current beta. I'm not sure if this is of any use, as this is probably not the final manual, but maybe the person working on it finds it useful as a proof-reading check:

P42
Ssharp is like L except that
should be 'is like S'
P51
image of noise module shows protoype setting 'percussive' instead of 'single hit'
P54
The Drive parameter or input gain of a filter usually adds some kind of distortion. In Zebra’s VCF
this is a more generic ‘flavour’ parameter – see the remarks in the table on the previous page.

should be 'next page'

P64
'atomize' i'm guessing this was re-labelled as 'arp' with options of arp or random?

P78
The MSEG has just one Guide (oscillator: 3 Guides)
seems like now the mseg does have 3 curves

P79
trigger mode 'mono' - is not available in current beta?

(i wish there was a way to trigger msegs only with transport start, so it becomes more like a synced lfo that can go across multiple note lengths instead of resetting)

P81
envelope mode
is hidden under gridconstraints -squeezetrimstop
this makes sense once you understand it, but i spent a while looking for a button labelled 'enveloppe mode'

(btw when using the keytrack on the filter, what is the maximum? is 100 = 2xkeytrack or 1X?)

P94
FF / FC / SC
shouldn't it be FF /FB /SC?

p102
Feedback Regeneration level. Safe from build-up: doesn't repeat indefinitely when set to maximum
-this is most defenitely not the case, buildups can happen very quickly, this thing gets loud, especially in sub bass

Before I report this as a bug, do prerequisited libraries have to be installed for drag'n'drop/Wavetable import on Linux to work? I'm on a vanilla Fedora 42 with Wayland/Gnome.
Edit: (Using the CLAP version, the VST3 one doesn't seem to register in REAPER and Ardour)

Our plugins don't have drag&drop support on Linux yet.
Currently there's no way to use sample import on Linux.
We'll likely add a file loading dialog at some point.

OK, no bug then :) Thanks.

In Bitwig, I cannot connect the control A-D knobs to the daw's modulator system (macros, automations etc). Not sure if it's a bug but could you pretty please make it happen? modulator system in Bitwig is so cool and useful, I'd hate not being able to use it with new zebra.

Also I realized that sometimes my midi cc controllers (intech) suddenly stop working with z3. I have not recognized a pattern when this happens. Looks randomly.

They will be exposed to host automation in the next beta.

midi cc re-assignment is not working zebra 3 beta 2 in bitwig

Hi I am using zebra 3 beta 2 with Bitwig on Mac OS latest version no keyboard just daw

I am using Bitwig 6 beta. 11-12-13-14 all of them have the issue.

MY background
Im not a keyboard player I can't keep time and would not do well in a band and have more math knowledge than skill with a keyboard. that being said I love to make music with the Piano roll.
I am a fairly experienced bug reporter.

I have had issues with trying to change the midi ccs assigned to stuff in the preferences menu it seems that ctrl knobs they keep there old midi cc assignment under the hood even when you change them .for example I change ctrlD to midi cc 16 and it still behaves like it is midi cc 19 under the hood when I try to add automation for midi in Bitwig. therefore it still receives midi cc automation from cc 19 instead of cc16 like it should. before people ask I checked to make sure the midi light flashes in zebra 3 when it receives automation data. I am pretty experienced at bug reporting. I am pretty sure Bitwig is not having the issue hear.

We already fixed a few issues in connection with the Ctrl ABCD feature. This will work more reliable in the next beta.

I have been able to assign controllers to the ABCD knobs and they work fine, but I don’t see any changes in the GUI. Apologies if this has already been addressed…

Yeah, that should be available in the latest beta... (actually, I'm not sure)

However, Ctrl ABCD are a moving target, we're trying a few things to make them optimally usable.

What timing. I just had this issue. I assigned them to Komplete Control M32 knobs. They work after restarting the plugin but they don't show movement visually. This is on Linux > bitiwig with both vst3/clap. I really like the performance knobs.

Be nice to have something visually show what CC message is being received. Maybe there is and I just haven't figured it out.

I'm getting a lot of daw crashes with Ableton Live 12 win -11. Sometimes when i delete matrix routings, it will crash ableton. Will share a patch if i manage to reproduce it.

minor annoyances:
when i give a preset a name with an incorrect character like ?, it will display an error message upon saving, but then it takes me back to the patch attribute screen and has erased all information i typed.

I miss the voice count mod source. Quite obscure, but i had some interesting results with it.

Post

I have no sure way to reproduce it, but the crashes when deleting a mod routing from the matrix are happening a lot. Quite annoying when i lose a lot of work. I try to save regularly, but in the creative spur... I've been cussing a lot today :( This version is nearly unuseable for me

Post

We are on it. Over here, it's actually quite hard to reproduce, though.
If you find steps to reliably reproduce this, please let us know.

Found it. It happens only when using the VST3 version, other plugin formats are not affected. It happens if you delete a mod matrix slot after reopening the plugin GUI with the matrix tab visible.
