Urs, you mentioning shift for smaller step sizes reminded me of something I'd love to see on almost all soft synths: both on my PC & Mac, I use the same Logi MX Master 3S mouse for music production. I've gotten so used to mixing with it it's largely replaced my CC121 with the motorized fader, at least on PC (it's jumpy on Mac).
But, the point is, how awesome it would be if all soft synths on the market, or very nearly so, spoke perfect "MX Master" such that in flywheel mode, controls are adjusted in smallest reasonably possible, ultra-smooth increments. It's already perfectly acceptable on the vast majority of plugins: they just work. Can't really pull up Z3 right now to test again on everything, but a consistent, uniform implementation that supports these flywheel mice would be incredibly useful to my workflow. Almost as useful as MIDI Learn (which still beats everything for live jamming, even at 7-bit resolution--good smoothing algorithms are critical, though).
Getting ever more excited for this eventual release! What I've seen so far of this thing is truly astonishing.

Yeah, Omnisphere has this too, and I love it: really wish it was standard across the board. It's so nice to not have to move your hands off the keyboard controller or grab the mouse to go through a bank of presets when hunting for a good one for what you're doing. Hope this gets implemented!trusampler wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 7:00 am Bought Z3 awhile back, but never really found a way to midi map the arrows for changing patches, do u-he synths have an option to midi learn the arrows < > for changing presets like TAL synths ?

Hey, i build new preset from the scratch and it sounds quite clean, sorry. Maybe it was the first beta release which came with some trouble - all good now for me with the arpegiator issue, thanks!Urs wrote: Mon Feb 16, 2026 2:48 pm Maybe you could post the presets? Would be easier to figure out what's going on...
With the MSEG, maybe i just had trouble with the random phase setting...

Oh sorry, I was "etwas vorschnell" with the MSEG Envelope. I put a simple preset, where i take an MSEG lentgh of 1/1. If i give a 1/1 Note and play it looped, it brings up crackles by the ignition of the note.Urs wrote: Mon Feb 16, 2026 2:48 pm Maybe you could post the presets? rev20552 i have...Urs wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 5:53 am Are you sure you have the latest beta? Because that is already happening...?
uhm...
sorry, maybe misunderstanding:
with "modulation box" my understanding was those boxes in the mod-matrix
where i can assign source and target (screenshot)
the targets get hilited only by clicking on the knob
at least on my intel, AU version
hover over them does nothing
whereas,
down below on the mod -strip (at the very button), yes indeed, hover does hilite the targets
.

I'm aware: I'm specifically asking for MIDI-learnable inc/dec buttons for presets, ultimately across the whole u-he line. Omnisphere and other synths I have support this and it's actually very, very useful and should be standard: if I can stay completely on my keyboard controller and not have to touch my mouse or computer keyboard, that makes me happy.ThoughtExperiment wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 3:10 pmu-He synths use the up/down arrows to step through the bank.DrWashington wrote: Tue Feb 17, 2026 2:10 pmYeah, Omnisphere has this too, and I love it: really wish it was standard across the board. If the 2nd volume knob is not being modulated and fully silent, can you guys make the cable above it disappear? (the one from Osc2 to 2nd output) It would make it a bit less confusing with this routing setup for example.

If you use the Mute option instead, you have a visual cue.jtsterays wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 4:23 pm If the 2nd volume knob is not being modulated and fully silent, can you guys make the cable above it disappear? Is there an indication when there are parameter changes that deviate from those of the loaded preset?
I often find myself loading an older project where I can't completely recall if changes to my preset have been made before or after saving.
Would be amazing to have a * indicator behind the preset name or similar to indicate parameter changes. Maybe even a way of highlighting parameter changes could become handy, with a possibility to reset individual parameters back to preset defaults.

That, or something similar, was requested a few days ago, for the first time I remember (or want to remember...)p3tr0m wrote: Thu Feb 19, 2026 5:22 pm Is there an indication when there are parameter changes that deviate from those of the loaded preset?
I have thought about this, and it is a lot more complicated than it sounds. Like, we use the preset system ("Module Presets") for copy & paste, as well as as for an array of other things, including Undo/Redo. So we'd have to first define, what exactly constitutes "the loaded preset"? When does it become its own state? Does it happen before or after being loaded with the DAW project?
Ideally we want to be able to restore individual parameter values from whatever edits one makes. Like, you load a presets, you twiddle some knobs, and for each knob you can see what the old value was - and go back. This is actually quite a bit of data that needs to be managed, and possibly be stored in the preset as well.
It also kind of seems superfluous when there is an Undo history. Maybe we could make this more visual?
Anyhow, long story short: Many questions, complicated topic, on our minds but no immediate solution.

Hi
Is it normal that UI of the synth closing slowly than Zebralette 3 (or other VSTs) for example? I'm using VST3 version on MacOS Sequoia 15.7.2 with Live 12.3.2

Yes there's a noticeable delay when opening and closing. It's "normal" as in, other people have it, too.

May I ask when this is expected to be released? I have quite a number of presets I’d love to contribute, though I’m sure you’re already busy narrowing down what you’ve received.
I’d be happy to send everything at once, but I don’t want to overwhelm anyone—especially since it seems like the preset curator already has quite a bit on his plate. I’ve sent around 45 so far, and while I have hundreds more in progress, they’re not quite ready to go yet.
Would it still be worthwhile to submit additional presets after the release for consideration in a future update, or will submissions close once it’s out?

As far as I hear, Viktor and his team have received the core set. Some late contributions are expected and welcome.
We always continue to improve and expand factory libraries. We usually add tags for substantial additions.
I can't pinpoint a release date yet, the factory library is on track, but we're still waiting on the final UI design, and we still have dozens of bugs and final tasks to tackle.
