ChamomileShark wrote: Wed Feb 18, 2026 5:49 pm I do find though that when using randomize on the player with no other modules it keeps going silent (not the demo limitation). I can't see what parameter is causing it, I've locked gain but can't find which other parameter is causing the problem. If I try the snapshots they all make a sound.
Maybe it's the individual gain of each playhead going silent? Or the Mix parameter? Try to lock those (select all play heads, right click on Gain in the panel below, Lock)

I think what happened is that some of the randomisation turned off all the playheads, I noticed what I thought was the "play" sample at the top, the thing that looks like > went to "pause" || I didn't consider that initially.

I'll continue exploring and then send in any remaining questions to support. thanks!

Feature Requests:

- it would be too cool if we could copy & paste variations from one Atelier instance to another. ( same module ofc/ in my case the sample player !)

- Sample player: Duration Parameter:
i see how it is funny as it is. But for manual live jams would it be super useful if changing duration would only alter the endpoint. Keeping the startpoint unaltered. Could make it a 2nd mode /selectable ? => FR

- Sample Player: I just discovered that variations can even incloude switching samples.
I´m not happy how the samples are displayed after switching. It is NOT keeping the original zoom in ( or un-zoom) level. FR: hope you can improve on that

- Sample player: idk, .......-IMO- the "play/stop" button should be placed elsewhere,.... in one row,....just my opinion, and not stuck to that ->moving>- "Dot sign". Plus added colour coding. The "delete playhead" function should then be coupled to that place too. ( i killed now two times some work by deleting the wrong playheads. A main context for that FR lies also there )

well, i see here the difference between "live manipulating" things with a mouse/TP vs. CC mapping things out. Vs. first case, as is might be quicker to operate while jamming, if one also wants to mute/unmute playheads. I see that point / For overall overview it does not. Same when working based on CC mapping things out

repeating myself:
- Superslider is missing ! unreplaceable !
The variations are by no means any replacement for the superslider.
( superslider would require the exlousion of parameters / give it 8 or 16 slots or so, to map parameters to the "explusion group"....in case you´d add the Slider)

What´s there feels awesome. The soundengine is very good and allows for stunning things.
But overall does it feel underdeveloped. Especially re. manual live jams in contrast to that generic "work by applying modulations" approach. Seems the development has a strong focus on the "machine music" approach. I do see "that". And its relation to the past ;)
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

if people find it arrogant to post here: ( i´ve seen that in the past !)
I personally find it arrogant hitting them up in their office by using support mail.
Here, it´s their choice to read. "There", it´s much less so

And here folks could give a +1* ;)
.....superslider for example ;)....come on guys: make it +1

( * there is certain -HW- gear out there that has seen features added by me posting so and just someone else doubling up, rsp. vice versa)

They're probably going to be adding parallel processing mode in a future update.

Looking forward to that.

I thought it already had parallel processing. I dont understand why more devs dont include it. UVI Shade wold be a world beater if it had parallel processing. Sadly it doesn't .

i really looked forward to it and i think this is a nice collection but yeah too much "will be added or is planned", who knows what really will be done? How is the experience with GRM so far? i dont buy normally anymore products which are not well supported still miss features in hopes they get added/patched.

and yeah the price is still heavy in my opinion even with the discount.

I learnt a lot testing Atelier out - and also some Sound Particles products in the last week or so. My two interests are the features but also how well it handles 4 channel sound, which is what I use at home, an old fashioned quad setup.
What I found is that the routing in my DAW (Reaper but no doubt others) plus my existing fx works better than Atelier or the sound particles grain synth. It is very easy int he daw to set up fx chains for each of the 4 individual outs if I want, Or for two pairs of stereo or all 4. And the fx within the chains can be in parallel or series with combinations of all of that.
Will put in an ad for Sound Particles two multichannel panners - they are indispensable for multichannel work.

Neat! Dunno that I will buy it, maybe...

Fully agree.

About additional modules for Atelier, here is an interesting excerpt from a recent interview of Matthias:

Do you have plans to bring some of the FFT and spectral processing tools and techniques from GRM tools to Atelier?

"Yes! Spectral processing definitely will be in Atelier at some point, since it is such a big part of what made the GRM Tools famous in the first place. That said, we‘re really looking for more of an “inspired-by” approach rather than implementing direct ports, so Atelier will have a slightly different take on spectral processing than what‘s available in GRM Tools."

If less is more, imagine how much more MORE will be.

I'm looking forward to the modules that will be added in the future.

Before to add any new module they must add a sync, midi in trigger

in a future, yes more modulation, such a step lfo, may be something like euclidean, envelope follower, audio modulation

I really loved playing with the demo, Atelier is beautifully designed! But the price point is beyond any DAW or plugin suite I’ve ever bought. I can’t fully comprehend it, and it’s unfortunately out of my budget :(

I'll be following its development tho

My experience is that the more experimental stuff is either relatively expensive, e.g GRM stuff, Metasynth and Max/MSP or it is free e.g Andrew Reeman's stuff, Paulstretch, CDP, CSound, Super Collider and Pure Data.

Yeah, that's really odd... I wouldn't know how that world works, hehe. It's a shame (at least for me). I mostly stick to CDP, Reaper and Renoise these days.

Hi, my tiny feature/improvement request:

I have a habit of entering decimal numers without the leading zero, so e.g. 0.01 becomes ".01". I have noticed that if I try to use this in Atelier, the result is something totally different. It would be nice if we could use these shorter versions when entering precise values.
