I actually don't disagree with any of your other points, since I made most of them for you. But this goes beyond personal hangups to fundamental bones of contention. I won't reiterate them. IK Multimedia cheerleaders pollute these boards but when someone tries to bring up a reasonable critique, the critic gets shat on. Think about why that is.
Legit criticisms are cool, when they’re informed and informative. But personal jihads against developers are not.

Your AmpliTube criticism was not informed. It was ill-informed, and thus it served only to misinform others.

I'm rather inclined to lock this, it's not like it's a product thread for a dev and it's possible that the op may have got his answer...just a heads up, if it stays on topic fine but this not an open invite to take shots at a company or the place to discuss those shots if yah get my drift...please and thank you
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

edit : Amplitube, the IK plugin relevant to this thread, doesnt include any individual separate plugins. So its not installing all of the individual separate plugins it doesnt have.

T-Racks does have separate plugins for each processor, and this was the result of user requests more than ten years ago. But T-Racks isnt on-topic for this thread, because T-Racks doesnt have any fuzz effects.

BBE Sound has a really good fuzz effect "Free Fuzz", as well as Green Screamer, one of the best overdrives I've used in software.

Tip: if using a fuzz also include the Drop in path and split using it. Makes very nice

Is there finally a decent Fuzz pedal plugin for guitar?

Fuzz pedals are known for having an interactive relationship with passive pickups, so I don’t think this is possible to emulate with software, unless you’re also modeling a metal string vibrating within a magnetic field as well.

That said, the fuzz box captures in Tonex are fantastic. They even get all the sputtering possibilities. I’ve a-b’d them with an Electro Harmonix Cock Fight and came to the conclusion that the pedal was unnecessary. I’m using active EMG pickups, though, so the push-pull interaction one would get from a traditional guitar isn’t happening for me at all.

There are a ton of killer fuzz captures in the user library.

IMO this is one of the weirder and better fuzz plugins I've tried. But generally I'm not going to use SW for fuzz myself (at least not on guitars). I do have this since I bought their bundle. I use it on drums a lot and whatnot.

OP didn't ask for an ecosystem that will require downloading everything on offer by the vendor, whether you want it on your system or not, which is beyond obnoxious despite repeated loud complaints from customers. Previous point about smaller developers being more responsive and larger corporate developers being tone deaf to customer feedback is spot on. IK is too marketing driven to the detriment of their customers. End of story.
You seem to not understand how AmpliTube works. It is one plugin. You can buy just a single fuzz pedal in the Custom Shop for $10. How is that a worse suggestion than u-he Runciter that isn't even a fuzz pedal and comes in a 149€ bundle of 9 plugins? Oh, it's because one is IK and the other is u-he and this is KVR...
It is allowed to present IKM.products here, saw it several times, even Arturia threads and topics are allowed!
