I have ALL their plugins but never used one in a project. The email spam is a serious thing. Personally I will stop purchasing them as unnecessary and too aggressive commercial mails.

I’m receiving his emails as well.
I think I gave my email a few years ago during a promotion/giveaway, I never bought any of his plugins.
I clicked on the unsubscribe link a few days ago, but I’m still receiving emails. I just clicked again, just to see if there’s any actions.
I also checked if I have an account, but the password reset page says there’s no account with my email address, so clicking on the unsubscribe button must remove me from any list (it’s not a “there’s a broken integration with the account settings” case).
Needless to say, his email have already been going straight into the spam folder for a while…
Saverio should take action and fix this asap…

Hi everyone, as I replied in other threads, if you don't want to receive anymore mails from us and your unsubscribe failed, please just drop me a line at saverio.vigni@hornetplugins.com
I'll make sure you get included in our export blacklist so your address neve reaches the email system (we switch our provider from time to time to always use the most convenient one for us and sometimes unsubscribes a re los along the way)
Regards
Saverio

No, fix your unsubscribe system. It's not up to users to jump through hoops to fix your broken system. Stop making excuses and handle your business properly and within the requirements of the law.HoRNet wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 10:42 am if you don't want to receive anymore mails from us and your unsubscribe failed, please just drop me a line at saverio.vigni@hornetplugins.com

The sad thing is all you're doing is losing sales and customers which is the exact opposite of what your constant email barrage is desired to accomplish.
I'm one of the lucky people who unsubscribe has worked (at least to this day, knock on wood). But it took me quite some time to have it take effect. I had to unsubscribe to every one of your spam messages over and over until it finally stuck.
All that did was assure I'll never do business with you again so you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

I have read a lot of dumb things on KVR forums over the years, but this has taken the crown now.scatman84 wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 9:32 pm Hornet is a small independent audio software developer who relies heavily on email marketing.
Many of his plugins are good.
I don't see a point in bitching about his emailing you because you can easily flag him as "Spam" and your email will send it to Spam folder.
Why bother to tarnish his reputation here?
This is an audio production forum and I don't think you should expose your personal email communication here and try to sabotage an honest developer's image like this.
In this era of hyper competition, AI invasion, we should try and encourage audio software developers, more so the independent, individual ones.
It's understandable if anyone loots you or scams you and then you go on internet to expose him.
This is a pretty harmless issue which can be solved by "Add to Spam" button in your email.
Support independent developers, don't bring them down unnecessarily.

Same. This company completely dominates my junk folder. I unsubscribed 3 days ago. I have unsubscribed just now:
This company is the reason I never ever give my real email account in exchange for freeware.
The system is not only failing to unsubscribe, it's also failing to report the failure to unsubscribe.Disiscrizione completata con successo!
Ci mancherai! Speriamo di rivederti presto.

Sorry for misspelling your name Saverio
It's good to see you appear in this thread.
I too tho am still not delighted to see a Dev somewhat speak down AT not "to" or "with" both former and potential buyers. While you cannot win 'all the people all the time', the concern here is not so much with you personally as with the broader mindset that has taken over DAWville where Devs went from treating customers as part of their life - as true peers - to this demeaning treatment of peers as pawns who only need to be put in their place - on the ground with wallets open.
To be fair its not just Devs as there are all too many users treating everyone like garbage, and it was allowed far too much. So much for so long it became the way. The effed up way.
We all have to do better for sure. As Musicians, we are supposed to support and lead society. When Artists, incl Devs, whether small or WADsized, behave like savages, they are not leading any of us anywhere good. That can only increase the festering sore that set AI Slop growing.

Sure. When he leaves us alone.jens wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 4:50 pm I really don't know where all this extreme negativity comes from - what on earth?
@bmanic: deleting yor entire customer account rather than simply marking an e-mail as spam at the click of a button is a move of such a dramatic posture that Shakespeare is shaking his head in his grave as we speak, uttering "Now verily, that is indeed somewhat excessive, is it not?".
Leave Saverio alone already, you hateful little buggers!![]()

Well fwiw I consider the bit of that video I watched a pile of presumptous, absurdly generalizing hogwash...
I certainly see the irony of - in your opinion - totally making your point right there but I rather disagree with you in that regard. And fwiw you seem a bit like a gentleman version of Bones to me...

Well the fact is that we don't want to bother anyone but (to my surprise too) email marketing is still the best way to guarantee a steady number of sales that pay the bills. It's a large number game so i understand that some hundreds of people are bothered with this amount of mails, but our mailing list is actually larger than 130K contacts and an open rate of about 10% (so a good percentage by email marketing standards) these numbers only says that this amount of mail is not a problem for the vast amount of our customers.
Of course you can unsubscribe form the link at the bottom of the mail, it works. if you still have problems, and this is a tech problem, we will address it and fix it.
That said, I love to do this stuff and hear your feedback on everything but since this is my company I will do it my way. I just want to create smart tools that are cool to make and help create better/faster music, but since we are in a very crowded market we need to find a niche and to stick to what works in order to keep on doing what we like. And trust me, we don't have flashy sports cars or villas with pool

I have tried to unsubscribe a countless times and yet still receive your emails and this is the same all the people are telling here and in countless other threads before...
As a company pushing out that amount of spam mails nearly every day it is your duty to have an unsubscribe system what works for all (or at least nearly all)...it´s not the people´s job taking measures to get finally rid of you.

This is hilariously arrogant. You’re definitely living up to your username. As others have pointed out, the simple and obvious solution is to designate his emails as spam or block them. Instead you’re threatening legal actionbmanic wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 5:19 am Looks like Saverio is yet again resurrecting old customers emails and continuing the Email spam. Unsubscribe isn't working at all yet again. I've forwarded the annoyance to a few legal entities here though I assume it'll just get lost in the minimal general complaints.
Anybody got experience with one of those 3rd party companies that force websites to remove all personal data?
Oh and I've got about 3 Hornet plugins to sell/give away for free. I want absolutely nothing to do with this company ever again. The plugins are pretty much terribly coded and constantly prone to crashing so basically useless. If there ever was a company I will now go actively forth in NOT ever recommending, it is this one.
I've never had such issues with any other company ever. Unsubscribing form emails is usually extremely simple. This is the only one that keeps sending them no matter what.
EDIT: Anybody got Saverios personal email? PM me if you do. I'd like to have a few words with the dude. I do see him on Facebook but I ain't gona risk it that way yet.
And to “help” the audio community, you have bravely identified another Italian company doing VERY BAD THINGS just like Acustica. Hmmm. By the way, I own and occasionally use some of Hornet's plugins. They seem like a small company that is generally trying to provide cheaper plugin alternatives, which helps people on a low budget. And I’ve unsubscribed from their emails without any problems.
