Yeah, I'm mostly interested in the creative fx as well. Just downloading the Ambient, Refract, and Motions demos to check them out. And the pitch shifter as well.

I got help from Jurgis at Arturia, and that somewhat solved the problem by merging with two folders of presets which he had me download. However, now I have this crazy thing where presets will be listed 3 to 4 times. And yes, I too had the same happen last year with presets for their VI plugins.dumbledog wrote: Mon Feb 23, 2026 2:40 amSo I've had this happen last year, and imagine my surprise this morning when I did indeed find half my presets gone again on my FX plugins; might be because I have my Arturia stuff on a separate drive and I think a suite-wide update broke the file location pointers. I fixed it by:soundman007 wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 8:31 am BEWARE! All presets gone of all plugins after installing v6!!
So far so good, frustrating as it is.
- Launching each plugin and seeing which were missing presets (or even missing the GUI last year!)
- Uninstalling those plugins using the ASC
- (This is important!) Deleting the presets folder. On MacOS this is in [InstallDrive]Arturia/Presets, I imagine this is similar to Windows
- Reinstalling the plugins.

Can't say I'm impressed with Ambient. At least based on the presets. I'll have to spend some time with it experimenting. I do like Motions, Refract, and the Pitch Shifter though.

I upgraded from v5 and I’m loving this update, after a few days of fooling around with the new stuff.
Efx Ambient is far more interesting than I initially thought. I’m not sure about the Space/reverb part, but the Tone part comes with 6 more or less unique algorithms that can be quite useful and fun, each in their own way. I wish it had a bit more control, but Arturia had to draw the line somewhere, I guess. Overall it seems to strike a good balance between being just generic enough so it doesn’t get old fast, while still offering an unique spin on FSU.
Mix Drums was the plugin I was looking forward to the most, and it’s great! Maybe not as versatile as I’ve thought, but that’s fine. It’s easy to get a specific sound out of that thing, or to subtly touch up a drum track. I’m assuming the transient shaper is related to the one in Bus Transient, but I haven’t played around enough with it so far. Multiband transient shaping seems useful, though.
I don’t own any other „high end“ tape machine emulations, so I can’t compare, but I’m having a ton of fun with Tape J-37. I’ve been using it mostly as a tape distortion effect by driving it quite hard, and those 4 new colors are great to have.
This might be the best update in the bundle’s history, at least from my perspective.

My favorites, by far, are Efx MOTIONS, Coldfire, and MixDRUMS. I probably have MOTIONS on at least half of my projects, and MixDRUMS goes on every kick bus, perc bus, and drum bus. It's just stupidly fast, sounds great, and I don't have to load 7 different plugins on the channel strip and dial in each one. However, I haven't yet used Tape J-37. That said, man I already have all the UAD and IKM tape emulations as well as Kiive Audio TapeFace, so not sure when I will get around to trying it out. I think the only other things in FX5/6 I've used are maybe BusPEAK, BusFORCE, and maybe their Juno Chorus emulation?

Hey, if anyone was having a similar problem with PayPal, somehow using a VPN and pretending to be a US-ian worked out.

strange that everybody has issues with paypal. I tried 2 times with Apple Pay without any luck. Paypal worked afterwards.thievedletter wrote: Tue Feb 24, 2026 5:55 am Hey, if anyone was having a similar problem with PayPal, somehow using a VPN and pretending to be a US-ian worked out.

Efx Ambient's space part is not as lush as I would have liked. Sounds kinda resonant and muddy in most of the modes. I also wish I had more control of the spectral effects, would have preferred a specialised spectral "Efx" since Fragments covers granular spacial effects.
The J-37 is really something. This is what I've been looking for in tape-emulations. Wide and obviously colored sound. This definitely replaces Goodhertz Tupe, which sounds quite unpleasant and narrow when driven hard.
The Eventide pitch shifter is awesome, but the latency is nuts. I have the H949 emulation and it has almost no latency and sounds just as good.
The multiband transient shaper sounds great as well and can work as a more musical OTT effect.
Will probably upgrade from 5, great update!
I do hope Arturia will give older plugins in the bundle a makeover, especially the filters deserve updates just like their synth equivalents. Would also a love a way to have the plugins open in advanced mode.

I only own a bunch of freebies and the offer for me is a generous $149.
Very surprised by that considering what others have been offered.
Surely it won't get lower than that for BF?
Although, they offered me very cheap Crossgrades when I used to own Pigments.
It's only the spicey effects that appeal, as I have no interest in more bread and butter categories.

Difficult to say. Being that it just dropped, it would be surprising to see it cheaper. But with markets the way they are right now, who knows...agharta wrote: Tue Feb 24, 2026 10:25 pm I only own a bunch of freebies and the offer for me is a generous $149.

FWIW, I got v4 of the FX Collection for $99 by having Pigments, Analog Lab, and a SparkLE controller (along with freebies) -- surprising to me, at the time.
You might be better off cherry picking the spicy ones you like after giving them a demo.
