What if you just did something really cool that would appeal to a good many folks. For instance, incorporating analog style video synthesis into the modular system, so folks could use it to create 2D visualizations directly along the timeline. To name one potentially interesting area that's particularly lacking in the market today I think.

Expanding the modular system along the lines of Bitwig's Grid or M4L is another thing to consider in general, as those are both selling points of theirs, and not many DAW's are as primed to contend with them as mulab.

Would you care to elaborate about "analog style video synthesis"?

It sounds interesting, but why analog, when we are in a digital age! Maybe you are in a retro mood?

im not snide. also that is not the way to make mulab popular. i mean really drive curious users to it. but i think i have happened upon a bunch of true believers. there is no hope to teach old dogs new tricks. at least not when jo doesnt seem to be interested in new tricks. if the way popular daws have done it in the past is not the teacher then go and do your posts the way you are and be happy with what you get since you know what you want, and how to get it. my money will go where it should for the results i wish to obtain. i wont bother you with patterns that i think are obvious. if there is no desire for change, there can be no change. yeah? its just too bad jo has ptsd regarding his previous experience in the business world. so mulab is meant for misfits and that is only who will populate its user base. too bad its not for everybody! good luck jo!

I feel we all want MuLab to be a little more well known right? But we must gel with reality here as well. Jo has no real advertising budget, he has essentially admitted that.

And you are saying MuLab is for misfits, is this correct? Does that include you?

Also, I will remember that Jo encouraged us to post and promote it on the KVR! Again dude, I am not trying to be an asshole to you! Let us be practical here. MuTools does not have the advertising budget that McDonalds has.

Lastly, about weather or not it "looks professional". It looks really nice to me, an awesome plugin host, and I think that is the look. I am quite confident he will not change it.

Analog lends itself better to a modular system imo. Since the modularity can be used directly in the actual synthesis, as opposed to mostly just modulating parameters in a digital style video system. There are already plenty systems like that, barely any analog style video synthesis.
