Had 1, didn't use it much, thought it was good not great and not a whole lot of variety. The big line up of new effects in 2 changes that. Haven't had a chance to dive into it much yet though, just tested out some presets, seems much more varied than 1.

Nice randomization too, and how you can lock effects to prevent them from being randomized.

I will be using this in the near future. :phones:

Yes. If you read the manual, there is a "Loophole" module that's essentially a scaled-down version of the Weeping Wall plugin.

Ok, 15 minutes with this thing and I had to get it. I was a little worried about it being all a bit too much, since the first version had such a tight, functional workflow. But this is such a huge step up from the first in every way. Whatever I do, it all just sounds so good.

i’m conflicted on this one. i know the small developers need all the support they can get, especially good ones like this, but i also really get tired of buying a plugin just to see the same fundamental plugin with quality of life updates and a couple extra features get released 6 months later as version 2. i have no doubts this one perfoms better than the first, but that sort of makes it a little more insulting. if a plugin isn’t anything new and all you did was figure out ways to make the original perform better, it just feels kinda weak not putting those improvements on the one your customers already paid for thinking they were getting the best version of said plugin. i guess this one has a couple new effects so im sure thats the justification, but if a developer isn’t getting paid enough for their work, i would much rather pay more for the original version and have these kinds of updates put toward it than have to buy it again every time they figure out a way to improve it. i don’t mind it when it’s actually something new, but this is literally the exact same effect with a couple improvements. i don’t mean to put this on just dawsome though, this kind of thing is becoming the new normal.

I agree 100%, couldn’t have said it better myself.

Am I going crazy here? This seems like a substantial update, much bigger than what I'm used to seeing for plugins, and it's less than $20 to upgrade if you want. Are people really expecting this for free?

edit: just to clarify here, the original plugin has 6 effects in a static chain. Version 2 has, by my count, 26 effects that can be assigned to any of the 6 slots.

Yeh, my update was £9 and I was more than happy top pay it to keep one of the best small developers interested in updating...use it or loose it!
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I reached out to Tracktion to see if I could use my EDU discount to get the upgrade for $9. And the introductory sale ends on March 15.

Edit: Sales don't apply to edu discounts or versions.

Just to clarify for anyone reading:
LOVE v1 was essentially a granular processor with a fixed signal chain (shimmer, reverb, delay, chorus and phaser).

LOVE 2 introduces 18 additional effect modules (including new delays, reverbs, dynamics, distortion and additional granular processors).

You can freely reorder and combine these modules. This moves LOVE from a fixed granular effect into a modular multi-FX environment.

The interface intentionally remains visually simple — but the processing scope and combinatorial depth are on a completely different level. This significantly expands the sonic possibilities, for example you can place now an OTT between multiple granular stages.

That said, I completely understand that upgrade models aren’t for everyone.

Downloaded and installed the demo last night. Very nice, but I noticed the presets did not include the presets from my version 1.
Does something else need to be done?

Also, is a similar update coming for Hate as well?

Via the main menu in the upper left you can choose to import your Love v1 user presets.

Hate already has (its own) fx modules and similar workflow, so at the moment such an update is not planned.

Thank you.
And still hoping you will add Linux natives...

LOVE 2 transforms ordinary audio into something tangible and alive.
Um... That sounds like the premise of a horror movie. Does anyone else find it strange how many non-audio terms get used to describe audio?
Surely there must be consensus by now...
