.. i also really get tired of buying a plugin just to see the same fundamental plugin with quality of life updates and a couple extra features get released 6 months later as version 2.

Does anyone else find it strange how many non-audio terms get used to describe audio?

sorry, that was meant to be a reflection on the plugin industry in general but i should have made it clear it was a bit hyperbolic as well. didn’t mean to imply any misinformation. and i hope i haven’t come off as lobbying for anyone not to buy this, im sure it really is great, all the dawsome stuff is. i know upgrade is $19, it really isn’t about the amount though. its a principle thing, and im just a little frustrated with the practice

I took it as hyperbole, since I can see some people still thinking 2.5 years is too short in a world where people still use Vintage Warmer and FM8.

But I think when you consider the amount of content and the price, it just doesn't really apply here. Anyway, I don't want to keep repeating myself, I was just surprised to see this of all plugins get this reaction from people here. I'm not a serial upgrader and I felt like this was a huge upgrade and a very reasonable price.

Many (most) presets have approx 5ms latency where there wasn't any before. I can't work out why but that's not ideal.

Just because it's a metaphor doesn't mean it's not silly.

Anyways, I'm going to play around with Love v1 (because I'm currently too broke to upgrade right now.) It's truly a plump and eager plugin. I would even go so far as to say it's umami. Any adjective will do, really.

Considering the quality, the reorder function, the new FX etc..
AND considering DAWESOME gave us the FREE beautiful beast Zyklop it is a must buy for me.

I don't even make ambient, but this will be great on vocals, lead guitars, synths, etc..

This was an instant and easy upgrade in my opinion. 19$.. not bad at all considering all the new features. Though I do wish the OTT compressor had a bit more control. It can be such a big part of the sound output that it would be very nice if we had access to the actual ratios at least.

.. also wish it had two rows where we could build parallel chains. Now that it has so many different effects, this could be an absolute monster of a multi FX thing. Maybe DAWSOME could make a big brother version of this with all the cool modulators from the synths, with proper freely assignable FX routings in a matrix type of system. This could really become the be-all / end-all multi effect if done properly.

bought it, i misread the features, now with the changeable order and new effects etc. there is now much more possibilities so 19 bucks to upgrade is really fair. and Peter deserves this support.
Peter i hope you will improve the preset browsers.... i recently used Myth again and the preset browser is so bad.... i prefer u-he etc. they got great and simple ones.

I got LOVE for free from Plugin Boutique, so LOVE 2 was definitely a worthy upgrade.
