yep, and it also reacts differently for each one of the 6 modes.
EFX Ambient may seem like a strange effect at first, but once you understand what's going on, it becomes a really wonderful and unique sound manipulator.

I might misremember things, but I recall watching an Arturia stream about the bundle and the developer said it’s a FND reverb. The rest is spectral, though.simon.a.billington wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 7:45 am It's not actually a reverb, I thought that at first too. It's more of a spectral effects plugin that can produce reverb like tails.

I could see how those could fit together, spectral splitting and manipulation, sent to multiple delay lines.nanostream wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:13 am I might misremember things, but I recall watching an Arturia stream about the bundle and the developer said it’s a FND reverb. I've been finding it more useful for sound design type stuff, or as an alternative background to complete silence.

The world is oversaturated with good quality reverbs, even Arturia has their REV Intensity. I think the whole MO of EFX Ambient is to be used in a more creative way generating fresh sounds with it whether it can be regarded as a reverb or not.thievedletter wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 3:22 amI could see how those could fit together, spectral splitting and manipulation, sent to multiple delay lines.nanostream wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 9:13 am I might misremember things, but I recall watching an Arturia stream about the bundle and the developer said it’s a FND reverb. If you were to take their naming convention into account, however, you'd think they would have called it REV Ambient as it would be more inline with their other reverb plugins, REV Intensity, REV Plate-140, REV LX-24, REV Spring-636. Instead they gave it an EFX moniker.
