I sure hope than when it is officially released, we get just a little more description than these thumnail graphics with a scant 2 sentence description.
At first, I thought the gerbil cage water dripper feature reveal was kind of entertaining, but as is evidence by the previous 4 pages of posts on this thread, it seems to just be raising more speculation - which I believe we all got tired of.
OK Beno, how about a full disclosure of the feature sampler you've let us on to?

Sends and returns - a good one.
I'm a bit afraid of QT support. Can't be that bad I guess.

btw, the whole 8 sends thing seems a little wierd to me. I mean I'll probably only ever use one or two but I don't see the point on putting a limitation on the number you can have.

Quicktime support... yeah baby!
I ask, beg, whine and moan... and I get what I want.
Freakin' sweet. Can't wait for T2 to come out.

Funny you bring this up, I agree! There should be no limitations like this. Theres no limitations on tracks, are there? Or the length of the arangement, in T1 its a bit cluttered to work on 20 minute arangements..jtxx000 wrote:btw, the whole 8 sends thing seems a little wierd to me. T2 is limited to 8 aux, but you can still use the racks, though!
I hope there will be unlimited temposhifts! I find it strange to be only 100 and something. I agree not many will use that many temposhifts(!), but why limit them? My audiowork is more art oriented then music wise. T is perfect, because it makes me work fast and focused. Though my audio arangements do not fit into a typical music arangement grid.
Its like saying to an artist, that with THIS paint brush, you can only paint 100cm!

it's not a conscious decision *to* limit, just reaction to practical limitations. Why limit roads to 4 lanes? Why not just make them all 50 lanes and be done with it?Sleepwalker wrote:but why limit them?

Sends? SENDS? Sellouts!
What's wrong with racks?
I'm so dissapointed. What are Mackie playing at? I'm not buying T2 now, because it has Sends and they're not ideologically pure.
(I'm only joking, by the way

sounds (i guess) like the sends are just 'hardwired' racks with a few tweaks ...rpc9943 wrote:what different from sends to racks

They sound pretty much like Senderella to me... in any case I think some people will find them useful as a built in feature.
I still can't totally picture how they will work but I assume you will add a send filter to a track, and there will be a seperate (horizontal) track further down the page which will be for bringing back the return and adding the appropriate filter effects you want.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to playing with these. In a lot of cases, the ability to set up a reverb plug across a simple bus for a number of tracks is such a CPU saver that it won't be so essential to freeze tracks... and having unfrozen tracks is obviously what you want when you come to mixdown stage.
