Don't know if this is a known issue or just a weird thing with my system (Debian Trixie, Ardour DAW, Linnstrument, latest Zebra): when I use midi to send cc1/mod wheel, I can see the fader move in the ui, but there is no audible effect - what's strange is that when I move the ui fader manually the control behaves as expected. Any ideas?

Cc1 working as expected here mxlinux 23.2 debian based but old, some presets do show twice but I had beta2 installed so it might be part of what I am seeing

When Z3 isn’t in MPE mode, ModWheel works per channel. So maybe the Linnstrument sends MPE and you need to switch Z3 into that mode…UncleWayback wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:10 pm Don't know if this is a known issue or just a weird thing with my system (Debian Trixie, Ardour DAW, Linnstrument, latest Zebra): when I use midi to send cc1/mod wheel, I can see the fader move in the ui, but there is no audible effect - what's strange is that when I move the ui fader manually the control behaves as expected. Thanks Urs, switching the MPE toggle on in the perform tab makes it work as expected!

About modal module from the manual:
What this do? Lets say i turn sample into CSV file and use it. What "Position" knob is doing ? Does the "Position" knob capture snapshots of the harmonic composition over the sample duration - e.g. 0% is the beginning of the sample and 100% is its end? (doesn't sound that way)
I dont get it.Position
Where the resonator is hit, which affects the relative amplitudes of partials and therefore the
overall timbre. A value of 0.00 represents the center while 100% is an extreme edge.

I'm not totally sure, but it sounds to me like it's applying a comb filter to the input signal.eclipse_soundlab wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 11:50 pm About modal module from the manual:

If only that answer was not on the OP:
During the beta phase, everyone else can purchase a Zebra 3 license at the introductory price of 179,-€ here (note, this is 70€ off from 249€, so this is better than anything we'd be able to offer owners of Zebra Legacy):

This preset really is a masterpiece of a patch.
Ctrl D slowly up to max, then Ctrl A slowly up to max, before Ctrl B and C to add life to it all.
Well, it's a song in itself, and truly shows how capable and great sounding Zebra3 is.
Wow!
