Infinite length rides in MDrummer

Hiiii, I am struggling to copy notes in reaper MIDI editor on my MDrummer track. I have narrowed the cause down to the fact that the rides are infinite length. After thorough troubleshooting in Reaper, I realized it is just the rides that are the problem. I am working with triangle notes because this is a drum track. But when switching to rectangles to view the note length, it becomes apparent this entire issue is happening because my ride1, ride2, and bell1 are not receiving "note-off" instructions. Everything else is apparently getting the note-off instruction (see images).

I am programming the hits on Reaper's piano roll, and MDrummer is set to drum pad mode (no rhythm engine). Within the drumset editor-->Multisampler, the maximal lengths for the rides and bells was set to Unlimited. I reduced it to under 5000ms, but when I view the notes as rectangles on the piano roll, they are still infinite length (see image attachments and you will know what i mean).

I have read all the documentation and diligently studied all the videos, made notes etc etc by Melda and Chandler on MDrummer (THANKS BTW)..Still, I am pretty new to programming MIDI, and wonder if there is a different length parameter I should be looking for or some other way to easily send "note-off" at the appropriate time for the rides. Haven't noticed anything different when comparing settings between ride and other drums in Drumset Editor.

I also noticed that many other parts of the kit have the Maximal length set to Unlimited within Drumset editor-->Multisampler, but they do not have this problem (see screenshot showing all other parts of the kit except rides/bells ending when they're supposed to, and thus I can copy them around as needed).

I went back and checked a kit preset and when viewing notes as triangles within Reaper's MIDI editor, the rides have the appropriate note-off (see attachment).

I checked every parameter within Drumset editor and don't see anything out of the ordinary, and the Maximal length parameter appears to be irrelevant to this issue because the preset shown in the image with no infinite tail also has Maximal length set to Unlimited.

I don't follow, how is this related to MDrummer? You seem to be asking about editing in Reaper??

I don't think the issue is in Reaper and here's why. When I use a different kit with different rides, I don't have this behavior. Seems like something happened with the kit I made, and is causing these rides to never have note off.

I troubleshooted in reaper first, is this not an issue with MDrummer?

When I referred to the "kit preset" with rides that have the appropriate note off, I am talking about pre-built kits in MDrummer.

It is the rides in my custom kit which don't have the note off. This is what I'm wondering, is there a setting that affects note off perhaps that I am missing?

I feel like I shouldn't have to "baby" this particular instrument with Reaper commands, because I feel like there must be something different about these particular rides. I can share presets if that is possible
