Yes, same problem. You need to insert more steps than needed to cycle them all. If you insert exact step count it will skip some modes.

But mine does not step at all, it behaves like a normal knob.

I sent this in as a feature request, like I want to click on a plugin GUI, then the device should be automatically selected and the remote control page should automatically open..much less clicks.don_looney wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 8:57 am
It would also be nice if there was an option to always select/display the remotes from Bitwig devices. Now the remotes page of the plugin needs to be opened/visible to get Roto Control to show them. But I would like to hide them in the devices view to see more plugins in the chain.
If you have a moment and could also send in a request, that could help, raise the demand. Thanks!

As a workaround, you can assign a remote control to the modulator macro or button.hbw wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 1:13 pm Really enjoying the Roto Control - but the being unable to map to macros/buttons as modulators is a big let down. Hopefully this will be rectified in a firmware update

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that, still it's an extra step and with it being a remote control you still don't get access to 8 buttons of the Roto - having to use a knob to control a button is a bit of a waste. I've emailed them and messaged on Instagram but they've not replied either time which is a bit disappointing.crossmod wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 10:03 pmAs a workaround, you can assign a remote control to the modulator macro or button.hbw wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 1:13 pm Really enjoying the Roto Control - but the being unable to map to macros/buttons as modulators is a big let down. drop-down menu: in Roto-Setup, you can add steps, and give each step a name.
With the SEL key, you can enable or disable devices. With a long press you can select a device.

For those with the issue of having to unplug two cables to power off the device, I added this USB power blocker between my computer and the Roto-Control, so now I only need to disconnect the power adapter, which I do via a smart plug that is scripted to turn on whenever I unlock my computer.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094FYL9QT (https://www.amazon.com/dp//ref=nosim?tag=kvraudio-20)

After installing a PCI USB card to bypass my motherboard's shitty USB ports I still have an issue. When loading a project sometimes the roto control will set some or all of my faders to zero, anyone else seen this?

I sent a feature request to Melbourne instruments.Cyoon wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 3:44 pmI sent this in as a feature request, like I want to click on a plugin GUI, then the device should be automatically selected and the remote control page should automatically open..much less clicks.don_looney wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 8:57 am

I'm running into an issue with using Hive/CLAP and roto: I manually learned a few parameters to try things out and everything works ok. Later on I loaded up the remote preset for Hive. After that, when I load the Hive plugin, it shows my personal mappings, but when I open up the remotes everything gets cleared on the roto. Oddly, roto-setup does show the remote mappings after I press the remote expansion button. I tried unlearning my custom mappings individually, but the roto still doesn't show the remote mappings after I did that. Also tried a firmware downgrade/upgrade cycle to see if I had some stuff lingering.
Other plugins seem to not be impacted so I'm suspecting it's something with me setting up the learning manually with Hive in particular
Is a firmware downgrade/upgrade performing a true reset?

I found a 100% repro and Melbourne support confirmed it. Hopefully will be fixed before longcrossmod wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 7:01 pm After installing a PCI USB card to bypass my motherboard's shitty USB ports I still have an issue. I'm trying to send Program Change messages to a plugin (Zebralette 3) using the MIDI mode, but I'm not succeeding. I want to use the 8 buttons to select 8 different presets.
When pressing the button, Zebralette's MIDI in little red bulb shows activity, so at least the CC0 message is registering, but it seems that the actual PC message is either wrong or not arriving.
The equivalent instruction with Bitwig's Midi Program Change device works flawlessly when clicking "Send Now". Therefore, Zebralette is not at fault.
Any idea about what might be happening? A Roto bug or something misconfigured somewhere?

With firmware 3.1.0 and Bitwig 6 it works flawlessly in my case.
