You need an easy way to get the chords from the DAW or other VSTs into the Riffer, other VSTs like Biab, EZkeys, EZbass, Tonalic etc read midi block chords dropped in. Also if you want transpose the whole chord progression up/down you should be able to select partial chord or all chords and a rightclick Transpose+/Transpose- and the chords and notes will be transposed.

I found the transpose up in the top right, it should be down the bottom with time signature and tempo.
If I have a chord track I have to copy it as if I drag an Ample midi pattern in it will clear the chord track then I paste the chords back in, then I have to go through and change each chord type to another and transpose it then transpose back to original chord to get it to fit, there must be a better way to automatically snap notes to chord.

I can edit the .griff file to create the chord track but I shouldn't have to, I tried renaming chords.mxml to chords.griff but that just crashed ample and the daw. You need an easy way to transfer chords to and from other apps/vsts like midi block chords, midi chord markers, music xml file. So you import a chord track then import the phrases from griff to a certain bar then another griff to another bar, then midi to another bar and so on, then get the notes to snap to key/chord notes.

What planet are you guys from? You are not up with how other things work. You are best to study what I posted more. And move the key change where it belongs.
If I select a few bars of chords I can't transpose them, I can select 1 (partial) or all.
You need to be able to add any riff/midi to any sections of the chord track without erasing the lot and the chord track, and it should snap all the notes automatically to the chord/key.
Do that and you will have some great software that integrates with other software!!!!

RapidComposer and others will do the same. Also RapidComposer will fit any phrases or midi to any section of the chord track, it will also import Ample riffs with key switches and can fit them anywhere on the chord track, all the keyswithches work no matter how much the notes are transposed.

Same if you are in Fender Studio/One or Cubase you need to be able to drag the midi chords into Ample VST to give corresponding chord track unless you add ARA 2.0 implementation like Tonalic and UJAM instruments that read Fender/Studio One chords.

I'm curious why you would need to get the chords from the DAW into the riffer when the plugin can playback the MIDI from the daw (those chords etc) already. I understand the purpose of the riffer is to design playback for the DAW that is specific to the plugin so you don't have to use keyswitches and such by hand in MIDI. The tab importer will already import tablature from programs like guitar pro. You can also convert the tab to a riff. So if you can get tab into Ample Sound, you have your conversion to Riff and DAW right there. I'm not sure why you want a single guitar VST to behave like a DAW by itself.

If the other plugins you mention can output their own "riffs" to MIDI then Ample Sound will play those back. But you have to consider the key switch differences between those various VSTs. I think your ask is "nice to have" at best.

Ample Guitar plugins do not fall short by not being designed the same way as something like insta-composer or band in the box which have their own set of functionality.
