I'm having a little trouble understanding these "no mixer" threads......
why is it better to have the faders and level meters in a separate window instead of right next to the tracks that you are working on..??
if they're not big enough for you, make the control panel wider or zoom in on the track you are working with....I can't see how that is harder than switching to another window and trying to figure out which fader belongs to which track....
That's exactly why I gave up on Cubase and others like it...switching back and forth between windows made me loose track ( no pun intended ) of what I was trying to do...
I like Tracktion !

There are level meters for your tracks volume, pan controls, a big master volume with meters. ummm, what am I missing here? This looks like a mixer! Why does everyone say there is no mixer? It doesn't quite look like my US428 mixer.....unless I turned my 428 sideways.

Oh yeah, I just got me Tracktion the other day. It is pretty intuitive. I like a straightforward approach to a program, but then I like Acid, Fruity, and Ableton too for their learning curve. I can't be bothered with reading 13 MB worth of pdf files to figure out how to record me a song. I gotta say that it's a cool approach for a DAW. Reminds me of a linux program a little for some reason.
