Oberheim Matrix 12
I thought the Matrix 12 had VCOs, not DCOs. :?

And where is your proof of this libellous statement? 🤦‍♂️
To be fair, and I'm not agreeing with him, if I posted a track containing 20 different synths, nobody could tell me which ones they were because in a mix, with everything going on, you really can't tell.
And you miss my point completely. Read what he said again. They haven’t even released it and hayters are posting the same old crap 🤷‍♂️

That's the point of these threads isn't it?

I have no idea what it is, or how they code so many rare and diff synths so quickly, but its always fun to add a big downer in the thread to liven things up.

Korg DW 8000 which might be fun to own.

Cherry Audio's signal flow is often: Announcement> Speculation> Anticipation> Disappointment (when it's not what we were expecting)> It Sounds Nothing Like the Original >Apathy or Purchase.

But no matter what it is I'll give it a demo just for for grins and giggles.

No, I get your point and again, I'm not agreeing with him. I love Cherry Audio synths. But I can understand why he feels like he does. Stop being so defensive. I'm actually on your side, It's just that with all the thousands of synths out there, 99% of them get lost in the sauce.

Didn't FB do the DW8000?

full bucket obviously worships Korg synths, yet he's a home enthusiast. he can't be compared to the pros. he himself admitted he's no match to them. it was also mentioned too many times he doesn't own all this hardware, hence no opportunity to study it and write a proper component modeling algo.

in my eyes, it doesn't even matter as long as he's helped a ton of musicians with free tools for music creation and that he surely did. that's what matters the most to me.

but bringing his synths up vs pros, and last time, I remember, it was mentioned in u-he synths thread, lets just not do this to him. he was mortified and humbled his name came up along Urs Heckmann's. it's just vastly different weightlifting category. it's not fair.

I don't think it's fair you put him down so easily, but such is life

as I mentioned, he himself admitted he's no match to pros like Urs and was deeply humbled his name was brought up in u-he thread in some sort of "quality comparison" attempt. to his credit, full bucket repelled those sentiments right away.

then again, I don't think it's fair you're a mentally impaired person with reading comprehension issues, but, as you said, "such is life"

Ah, the old personal attack strategy, well done love.

Cherry doesn't duplicate old code entirely (I have read it's all done by scratch as far as the important parts). Arturia did and does as displayed by the collection integrated into Analog Lab.

When digital synths were introduced in the 80s, particularly the DX7; people started to sell their 'old' analog's and with that also started a new way of making music, creating sound. The overall sound and music totally changed (some say for the worse) yet it also created a new era, maybe a step forward. Now we having all these emulations of this & that, that & this and seem to be stuck with that, nothing 'really' new under the sun, as they say?

Still waiting on that mythological additive synth. The one with unlimited sine waves that's easy on the cpu.
