I got my email immediately, and the code worked in the portal app.

For anyone with questions regarding why they have not received a code.
First up, the codes are issued manually to keep an eye on potential abuse. We say allow 48 hours but it's usually no more than a few.
New accounts must be activated. We won't issue codes to new accounts that have not confirmed their email address (click the activation link in the welcome email).
Codes are issued via a "free" KVR Marketplace order. Make sure your email address works and can accept email from kvraudio.com. Check your spam folder. We've had several notification emails bounce back.
However, you can always check for the "order" at https://www.kvraudio.com/marketplace/orders/
If you make multiple entries using different KVR accounts you will probably not get a code issued. You may get one to the initial entry.

I agree. The "usual bs" being that some developers think they have the right to pollute our systems with any malware or bloatware they wish just to serve themselves.
While I appreciate the generosity of UVI and KVR, if we look at the steps needed just to get a single "free" plugin then we can see that it's not an altruistic act on UVI's part but one that is ultimately self serving.
Having said that, I do have a secondary studio system that is already infected with iLok, UAD Connect, Roland Cloud, Native Access, etc, etc, so I put in for a Sparkverb license.
If I get a code I'll install UVI's Portal (store front) app and see how the reverb stands up against the many others in my collection.
Store Front: "More than a product manager, Portal is your gateway to new creative and sonic possibilities.Register, download, install, activate and update all of your UVI products in a single convenient location, and explore the entire catalog to find new sounds and inspiration!"
If I don't get a code then that just means I've saved some time and effort so ....meh.
At any rate someone posting their dislike of the iLok requirement in this case was simply an expression of opinion and not "bs" whether you agree with that statement of opinion or not.

Yeah. Got mine this morning (signed up yesterday evening). Wish the decay lasted longer and the size of the space was larger but, hey it was free. Plenty long for most people but I love reverbs that last a really long time, which usually means relying on convolution reverbs (and time stretching IRs). Anyway, sounds pretty good, but I've only tried it on one generic plucky synth sound so far.
Too bad I bought Shade a day earlier. If I had gotten the freebie first, then their sales stats would have implied the freebie influenced a purchase. So everyone go buy something from UVI and maybe they'll give something else away.

I think you can download (without using the portal) on their site.

[This space for rent]
wait, is that against TOS? I just deleted some nonsense about anti-piracy software.

That no longer appears to be the case since the website redesign.Examigan wrote: Tue Mar 24, 2026 2:41 pm I think you can download (without using the portal) on their site.
It's kind of like getting a new menu at a restaurant when the prices go up.

I'd say a KVR thread with only two essays ranting about iLok on a free plugin in the first 30 posts is pretty good. Let's see how we're doing by Page 4.
