I type in a value within the parameter's range, that I'm able to dial in manually by dragging the value up, but if I double click on the node's value in the inspector panel (which now annoyingly sets the value to 0), type in the new value, and press enter, the node remains at 0. Is this really the intended behavior? WTF?
Alt or CTRL plus clicking with mouse?
I created a new project, added gain automation to a Tool, tried holding ctrl while clicking, and it worked. Clicking on the value while holding ctrl also doesn't set the value to 0, unlike double-clicking.

But then I tried my old method of double-clicking and typing in the value again. And this time it actually worked---in this brand new project, with Tool.

So it's some sort of bug in the other project, either related to the project having been imported from Bitwig 5 or to using automation with VSTs (or both).

It's always been you have to hold ctrl and click in the inspector to type in a value, double clicking without holding ctrl resets it to 0. I forget all the time and do it by mistake with 20+ yr cubase muscle memory :hihi:

I waited until I was finished recording tracks for my current project before installing 6.0, and decided to go ahead and do it for the mastering phase.

I was right, for me it's basically a cosmetic upgrade because I just don't use the Clip Launcher and only drop stuff into the Arranger when editing/mastering. It does look nice at least.

My one nitpicky wish on that front is that I could switch the Beat Ruler to only show minutes/seconds. Bars/beats isn't helpful when editing an existing recording (which might have had no fixed or determinable tempo anyway), but time in a larger font would be nice.

this hold automation dot is soo annoying...its awlays getting activated for no reason. why not to make it optional? automation looks messy cause of this thing
