You CAN do that already. I've been saying this since we released SynthMaster 3. Delete SynthMaster 2 alltogether, and install SynthMaster 3 only.

The only catch is, SynthMaster 3 expansions are not NKS compatible. I don't have the manpower to spend time on making them compatible, as NKS is a feature only around 1% of our users uses. and I guess you are in that 1%.

Hi guys, has any of you used DecentSampler? I am considering adding support for DecentSampler natively in SynthMaster 3.5 / 4.0

I have some items for DecentSampler but do not use it very often.

I like DecentSampler, but how about supporting Linux before starting something new?
Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Willing to make free 10 000 presets pack and to upload it for sm users,if kv331 donate symbolic amount of money.

Agree because add DecentSampler support sounds interesting (what are the benefits?), but since SynthMaster itself doesn’t run on Linux, it might not benefit many users (exclusion of the Linux community). DecentSampler is Linux-compatible, so integrating it into a Windows/Mac-only plugin could actually limit its potential audience. Maybe it would make more sense to bring SynthMaster to Linux first before adding DecentSampler support. (Sorry for repetition ^^,)

Since DecentSampler is distributed as free software, incorporating it into a commercial plugin could potentially lead to licensing or legal concerns.

I’d love to see SynthMaster complete its range of supported operating systems by adding Linux support, even if you Synthmaster developers are struggling with capacity here.

I really appreciate any thoughts that move toward supporting all three operating systems — after all, three is a magic number and a prime number!

Decent Sampler has an open and documented format and likely wouldn't be much development to modify the SFZ and other sample handling code to support the Decent Sampler formats. Other developers are adding support to their instruments, the new version of Future Audio Workshop's Notes supports it.

That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing Linux support either.

This! Since it is an open format, any developer can support it. I will not only implement import but also export in DecentSampler format. and once we have an Auto Sampler, it will be able to generate DecentSampler instruments. I might even go further and try to implement a basic UI editor to create UI for presets/sampled instruments.

Looks like the framework I am using (VSTGUI) supports Linux. So it is just a matter of allocating about 2-4 weeks of my time to start this process. If business improves in 2026, maybe I can allocate this time...

Got it, you meant the Format .dspreset or .dslibrary and SFZ Formats not implementing THE Decent Sampler, maybe i was a bit off this way. But anyways...

Yes, adding support for those two.

FYI:

dspreset is an human readable XML file. Full specifications are at:
https://decentsampler-developers-guide. ... ction.html

dslibrary is a ZIP file with the dspreset file and related sample files inside.

Hi guys,

Although we released v3.4.9 update last week, looks like we're gonna have another update soon. I finally figured out how to use gradients for drawing, which makes the UI look better. I am also adding further tooltip support to guide users on the user interface. I also have plans for "I18N" (internationalization) support, I started working on that. My first goal will be completing English resource strings for tooltips. Hopefuly this might extend to other languages, thanks to AI.

Held wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 4:44 pm What you're describing is simple license key (file) activation. That's much more user friendly :)
It's somewhere in between C/R and license key activation. If there is internet connection and if our server is up, the license key downloaded/copied is replaced with a license key that matches the computer id, and we keep track of on how many machines a user authenticated the software.

We are not strict on the number of activations though. We just have an internal check on the server, if a user performs too many activations in a short period of time, the server sends us an email to double check that user.
The current price on sale is very tempting... However, I am still a bit unclear about the authentication process.

Once my machine connects to the internet and the new license key with the machine id is received and activated successfully on my machine, does the plugin still try to phone home later, be it checking for activation status or doing something else, or it just stays silent offline completely and does not do anything on the Internet again?

Question: I got this coupon in my account but can´t seem to get it working (tried to upgrade to SM3 from SM3 Player). Also, 9.0000 $ seems VERY generous. :o
