Just a heads-up for those who might not have been here for long. Truepianos is a truly excellent-sounding piano suite.

It hasn't been updated for a long time, but I don't think of it as abandon-ware. More like software that has been successfully completed.

$69 for it is a killer deal, IMHO.

EDIT: Some caveats. Looks like V1.95 is VST2 only, no support for hi-res screens. I'm downloading the V2 beta now to see how it looks and sounds. Supposedly has an all-new code base, VST3, and hi-res support.

Do the trial before purchase, as usual.

Actually it must have been updated not that long ago as the Mac version has Tahoe and Apple Silicon support, and on Mac and Windows it is now fully resizable.

Yeah, I edited my post above. I get the impression that they lean more toward the Mac side in their development. Thanks for the info!

It was updated last November for Mac. The v2 version runs as VST3 on native Apple Silicon.
This is one of my oldest licenses and I totally forgot about it some years ago. But now it feels like a brand new instrument.

Here is a demonstration video of the v2 version:

Just in case anyone missed it PA has free updates for Brainworx plugins..most add UI scaling. This truly makes the "de rigueur" download manager useful as the update process is quick and painless

One of the new "features" is analytics, which can be switched off -- not uncommon, but generally unwelcome when switched on by default and hidden from the user.

I dont think I've installed a plugin in the last 20 years that didnt ask for analytics. I know to turn this off. Calling it "user tracking" is childish and , to me, just a mean spirited attempt to be derogatory to a benign post.

Seriously, who didnt know this??

I get what you're saying. I think the implication here is that NI/PA are rolling out a bunch of updates just to add analytics under the guise of a scalable UI, which most users don't value.

For the record, Plugin Alliance has Usage Tracking off by default unlike Native Instruments which has it on by default.

Only a tiny percentage of the nearly thousand plugins I've installed over the last 20 years have asked for analytics. Some may do it without permission but that's another story altogether and a far more insidious act.

But Usage Data Tracking (hence user tracking) is accurate:

There is nothing "childish or mean spirited" by simply posting facts that can be useful to the reader and I say that as a huge fan of Plugin Alliance who owns over 60 of their plugins. The Usage tracking comes from their affiliation with NI as none of the PA plugins had it before.
