Changes in Bitwig Studio 6.0.2 [released 01 April 2026]

IMPROVEMENTS

Audio onset filtering operations are improved with better ranking (by projecting onsets onto the histogram more effectively)

FIXES

Note Gain expression values now hold at the end of the note
Only one automation point is allowed at time zero
Extending an automation clip (via the loop-extension corner) always creates a looped clip now [41328]
Duplicating a scene no longer excludes transport automation clips [41305]
It is possible to zoom out in the arranger to see all content, in certain projects [41325]
Fixed the trigger timing of automation clips, when follow actions were used together with audio clips
Drum/Hybrid Editor: Clicking on the note name on the very left now always selects all notes of that key [41326]
When doing layered editing with the filter toggle (Edit only selected layers) enabled, the Knife tool only cuts notes on the active layer [41337]
Old projects saved with invalid controller settings can now be loaded in version 6 [41335]
Controller script renames for Softube:
Console 1 Mk III now appears as Direct DAW Control (1 unit)
Console 1 Mk III x 2 now appears as Direct DAW Control (2 units)
Console 1 Mk III x 3 now appears as Direct DAW Control (3 units)
Console 1 Mk III x 4 now appears as Direct DAW Control (4 units)

CRASHES FIXED

Fixed crash when dragging the end of a comping region (a regression) [41329]
Fixed a crash when opening projects with particular audio source selections (a regression in 6.0.1) [41324]

Looking good, just 1 crash fix- I'll wait for feedback but seems close.

Suddenly i can not change to another graphics backend? It stays in openGL

Even when i executed as admin: echo skia-vulkan > "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Bitwig Studio\graphics-backend"

Im on windows are there other ways to change?

Solved just updated my intel grpahics drivers just before 6.0.2 i went back to older driver and Bitwig took over vulkan as setting. Learned again never change or update on 2 fronts.
