It's a pretty simple concept, one oscillator feeding into convolution, so the character lives there. That said I'm working on a version with some more tonal tweaks for a bit more range. Today's tip: play with the envelopes. That's where a lot of the interesting shaping happens, especially Body and Noise envelope together. Also, make sure to click the section labels (Body, Delay, Reverb etc) to open the edit popups, there's a lot of control hidden in there.Uncle E wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2026 5:36 amBoth presets and tweaking sounds same-ish. It's a good sound so I'll probably still buy it, I just wish I could get my head around it a bit more. Tack for the programming tip, I can definitely hear the Material more when doing that.quantasticalsound wrote: Thu Apr 02, 2026 11:58 am Thanks Eric, really appreciate you giving it a go! Glad you like the interface and sounds. The key to getting more variation is the Material knob combined with Body amount, try sweeping Material slowly with Body cranked up, that's where the big character shifts happen. The Decay and Grain knobs also open up a lot when Body is high. I know the UI doesn't make that obvious enough, definitely something I'm working on. And "Lovely Interface and Sounds" gave me plenty inspiration to do that.
Curious, when you say same-ish, was that browsing the presets or when you were tweaking it yourself?
I made a synth I'm proud of — come slaughter me

Thanks for trying it and letting me know! The synth has honestly outgrown its original interface a bit, It started compact and the feature set kept growing. Working on an improved layout now. Can I pick your brain a bit? What specifically put you off? I really welcome and need feedback, especially on the GUI.

Put more emphasis on the important parameters and remove anything that doesn't have significant impact. There are so many parameters in the section labels.
