New Limiter LINK option! Pay attention!

Please note that the new LINK CHANNELS option in Limiter is NOT the same as one in Compressors. While the instruction states "linked channels are controlled by the AVERAGE level between channels" - this is not true. If we do limiter-style setup (0 attack, 0 release) Turbocomp or Dynamics will leave signal ABOVE the threshold. Example: I set -20 threshold: output will be -17 or even more. To have precisely -20 output I must UNLINK channels. BUT! The new limiter LINK is not doing that... SO... if you set -20 and link the channels you still have precisely -20! So it's not average, but MAX, or some different formula?...

Correct, it takes the maximum, otherwise it wouldn't be limiting

Can we please have this in MDynamics and MTurboComp as well? It's a very handy featureMeldaProduction wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2026 1:32 pm Correct, it takes the maximum, otherwise it wouldn't be limiting![]()
