Must collect them all!

I would choose what smells best to you.

Produced in a laboratory, Xils? Maybe they swallowed pills in a laboratory when they developed it. I don't like artificial ingredients in food.

Arturia. I remember some Artur back in the day, well, he smelled strange during physical education lessons.

Tubes can get rusty, especially when they are soft, don't ask me how they smell.

Cherries smell good to me.

This was my favorite until I switched back to Mac. I like the model 77 but it’s different. Thicker but cuts a little less. Arturia is ok, good for pads but terrible for anything f percussive. Might give the cherry a go some time if I get one of their pick 3 bundles some time.

Funny that Softube did not model the analog tremolo/chorus on the CS80. Given they did the chorus on Juno 106, I thought they'd do this as well since it's part of the synth. But instead of modeling the things sitting in the synth, they decided to add a fake Lexicon 224.

"We modeled and accurately articulated every detail of the circuits of three legendarily expressive Japanese synthesizers from 1977." No Softube you did not. You left 2 circuit boards in the synth unmodeled and thus there's no way you articulated every detail.

But is the ring mod any good? That's the best part of the CS80.

I think the consensus was they likely never actually had hands on a CS80 to model - they modelled the "circuits", because the same voice boards were in a range of synths. They probably had access to at minimum a CS60, which doesn't have those effects circuits, and so they couldn't be modelled.

That makes sense.
And why they stressed on they modeled three :)... (if you modeled the cs-80, I think you would harp on it).
I did ask them why they didn't model the chorus and I got a very generic 'we will keep that in mind' response.

Looks like Arturia CS-80 V4 sounds good enough for Steve Porcaro and there's no bigger CS-80 players than Vangelis, Porcaro and Jobson. For Saga fans out there, Jim Gilmour was pretty epic on CS-80 as well.

Good enough for Steve, good enough for me!

Arturia one is smooth and sounds nice for pads. It is garbage for anything plucky or with a strong attack.

That one sounds excellent actually. However they didn't want to pay the yearly fee to get it signed for mac. And it's a commercial product. I'm not going to do the de-quarantine crap for a plugin that I paid for. That only works for me for VSTs anyways, can't get AUs to de-quarantine.

Developers have to pay a fee for it to be signed for Mac? I'm on Win btw
