damn...that looks nice!pdxindy wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 7:29 pm Here is my edit of the new GUI.
I removed the gradients behind the menus.
I made all the menus a color so they stand out from all the label text.
I'm still playing with the colors of modules and modulators.
I also moved the DC Offset button. Somehow it bothered me being right below the volume knob.![]()

Oh yes. Thanks for spotting! Fixed!johnnyberrygoode wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:11 am I do not know, but maybe if the letters ADSR were placed in the center of the regulators, it would look a little better.

Anyone know a way to reduce the GUI size when you can't access the settings button or whatever button modifies the size? I'm on Big Sur, Logic Pro X 10.7.4. Gui is so large that I can't access the top portion of the plugin. I've tried to post a pic here but I can't see a way to attach the image #Noob

If you right click near the Synth's name, you can choose a different size (this is temporary) and then set it permanently in the settings now that you can see the settings.

Big thanks to Urs, his team and all others who contributed to this great project!
After some testing I really like the new design and color scheme for Z3!
A small critique: There are some visual issues that make the letters hard to read compared to the previous beta design because of the grey background and letters.
Is it possible to add “Gamma” and “High Contrast” as options in the settings menu similar to what you can find in Diva ? So you can adjust the overall brightness/color tone of the synth to your needs.
Why I think it might be useful: Compared to all other synths out there Z3 is a workhorse synth that you will spend a lot of time on operating it which makes the visuals an important factor not to get tired eyes too fast.

I couldn't even see that far. All I could see was from OSC 1 Pitch Source downwards, but I just tried dragging the GUI and turns out if you position your cursor to either side of the GUI until you see the arrow that points both ways
, you can hold and drag in order to access the top part of the GUI, allowing you to THEN right click near the synth's name.

What is strange in your case, is unless you use a specific key modifier, on my mac, running cubendo, you dont' even get access to gui sizes that would be too big for your screen.

Thanks a bunch, I can reproduce it. Seems to happen on Windows only. Best to stay at 100% GUI size for now. Or use an even number, like 160%. It seems to happen with odd numbers, like 130 or 170%. We’ll look into it asap.Dremix wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 11:01 am This only happenes with this specific preset and only when interface zoom is NOT 100%
Must be a combination of things in this preset that triggers this.

I think Urs should have mentioned it in the first post...there is a way to save them, but I am not sure you can do it after upgrading...

Since the first beta I keep having the problem that Modwheel settings are not being saved when saving a DAW project. They are also not saved when MW modulation is part of a preset and I change the MW setting and try to save. Is this to be expected?

A couple issues I discovered last night...
In MPE mode, Control B is frozen. Oddly I can still see it moving in Cubase's Instrument Rack controls, but it does not move in Zebra 3's window. If I uncheck MPE it becomes movable again.
Pitch bend range in MPE mode is different somehow than the previous beta. Loading the same patch in this version now seems to be 48st and I don't see a way of changing this. There really needs to be a field in the MIDI settings for manually changing this range. All other MPE plugins I own have this.

1. I think that if the "target circle" in the lfo module is moved to the left, as it is done in other modulation modules, it will give more symmetry.
2. Based on the logic of the grid formation in the filter matrix, it seemed to me that this line is not needed.
