Hello Urs and Z3 team -- thank you for the updates. Zebra2 was my first soft synth, I loved it, and this is nothing short of incredible in sound quality and as a tool for sound design,

My request is that there be some shortcuts to open the OSC and MSEG editors. For instance, some kind of command-click on the item in the grid to jump right to the editor, and also just double clicking on it in the left pane. I think that would be intuitive and save the (small amount) of time it takes to navigate down to that button.

Thanks again for making so many great synths.

Sorry if this has been answered (it's starting to get difficult checking everything):

1/ Why are the Lowpass filter and the Highpass filter in the Noise module now called Filter 1 and Filter 2, instead of the lot more describing and precise LP Filter and HP Filter (or something similar) that I think they were called before?
2/ While the new GUI is great, I actually find it a bit difficult to see deactivated modules, as they are so dark.

It was about a proposal for giving some extra visibility to the release of Zebra 3, you'll tell me if you are interested ;) Good luck to the whole team!
There was some chatter, I do not know details. But we're all in a state of emergency and we do not have any marketing material yet...
Thanks the reporting, no worries and good luck with all of this ;)

any word on this? The way to select a FX Filter is..well.......not good...
We're working on it.

Background: The filter picker is on the Synthesis page, but the filters in the FX Rack can be visible when Pitches or Presets are open. We need to code a mechanism to switch to the Synthesis page if someone picks a filter while on any of the other pages.
Awesome. Thanks 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Everyone, I highly recommend reading the Zebra 3 manual thoroughly. While there are slight discrepancies with the current version, the essential points are well-covered. You can verify most functions using a sine wave, even without extensive technical knowledge.
Even though I am Japanese and not fully fluent in English, I have found the manual to be incredibly helpful. Zebra's sound and structure are distinctly different from conventional synthesizers, so I believe it is challenging to understand it simply by touching it briefly.
People have different opinions on the UI, but personally, I have come to enjoy the new design despite being a fan of the previous one. It is simply a matter of getting accustomed to it. The synth has actually evolved a great deal.
I look forward to further improvements and am truly thankful for this instrument.

The new graphite UI is cool.

patch assist request:

i`m used to control the frequenzy of a VCF with a morph control.
i add a gain compensation of some sort to a VCFs control =>
Q: Where within Z3 should i apply my morph (post Filter) gain control ideally ? ( should be preset-change resistant as much as possible. I mean usually a patch has just Filter 1 active....but i have no overview vs. all the available gain/Level controls)
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

I finally gave Zebra 3 a try yesterday evening and god it sounds amazing.
That UI is very displeasing tho, looks dated and almost cheap, especially compared to Zebralette 3 which looked so slick.

(Also I cant wrap my head around how the FM oscillator work :D Gonna need to dig deeper into that).

I find the UI to be very pleasing. I think it's beautifully designed even if the zebra-stripe pattern brings me back to 1988, when Zubaz pants were king.

I always loved u-He plugins because they was super fast. Loading time of Diva or Zebra is under one second. Zebra 3 however is a little slower. Also some presets needs more time to load. Will it be improved?

I know some people made a point about the knob of the LFO being a bit tedious. Would a reasonable solution be to add a click function to the shapes so that the knob snaps to the shape that is selected? And then just shifting the bipolar/positive selector a little further down.

Now that we're so close to a final release, I've started looking into 'reverse-engineering' the factory presets, to gain a better understanding of how it all works. In the 'synth pads' folder, 'Otherworldly' appears to have an 'orphaned' lfo (LFO3), which has made me realize I don't know how to delete a module if it's not actually modulating anything? I thought that modulators automatically appeared in the rack when you connect them to a target, and disappear again if you remove all modulations?

Not so important, I'd just like to understand. It's entirely possible that it is modulating something and I just can't see it (although I've tried altering the rate and I don't hear anything). Any ideas, anyone?

It's some sort of glitch. LFO3 is not assigned to anything. If you right click on the crosshairs of a modulator, you can see all the assignments. LFO3 has none.
