Let’s speculate about 6.1

The Convolution device is basically Reverb+ IMO, but I guess they could offer more algorithms.

Personally I'd love to see a big update to the grid to bring it closer to Max/MSP, but that sounds like a major update so probably not something they'd do for 6.1.

Same here! It is so close and capable already, we just need it pushed a bit further. It might be good to come up with a master list of requested grid updates!

I'd really like to easily route modulations directly from the grid to other devices in the same chain or even elsewhere in the project if that could be possible someday via "modulation out"

Yes, I've looked at the hacks... but it would be nice to just be like "oh I've generated this pattern here and I'm going to directly send that to control something else" regardless of proximity to the current grid patch; I recognise the hierarchy issue that can come into play here

That you can already do. Any FX nested in the Poly Grid FX Box can be modulated from inside the Grid.

A very Bitwig thing to do would be adding a small suite of easy to use single-algorithm reverb devices. Room, Plate, Shimmer, something like that, rather than a more complex Reverb+.

Expression map!
I really need it

Yes I'm 100% onboard with that. They could even mix Reverb + Convolution for hybrid reverb similar to ableton.

I could see a Reverb+ with a dropdown selector for the reverb types that manifest themselves as separate modules in the Grid.

True! Have done this before. But if you have a note grid driving a synth, I haven't found a wag to have events directly "grab the knob" of a synth further down the chain (or ideally elsewhere in the project!)

I understand some of this can be achieved via midi cc and that's what I'm doing for now

Same thing... nest the synth in the FX slot of the Note Grid. Then you can use any modulation in the Note Grid to control parameters in the synth.

Oh damn. This I have not done. Thank you!

Sampler with auto slicing based on transients or tempo sync.

I just hope they fox the f'n multi track midi editing. It neeeeeeeds to be separated from arranger selection if wanted, the pinning needs to work again and the same thing for editing the selected tracks midi.

I don't care about anything else at the moment because with the broken way it "works" now it is absolutely unusable and infuriating to use. I haven't touched bw6 after the beta testing bc of that cumbersome clusterf.

When they fix that however, Id also like expression maps, sampler+, reverb+, video support and the groove pool. But first for the love of all that is good in this world I hope they fix the damn multi track midi editing, ARRRRRGHHHHH *groan of death* lol

I found this new gift in my Bitwig account: Dreamtonic's Synthesizer V Studio 2 Core. Maybe the next version will support ARA? It's unlikely, but I'm hoping so...

sampler+, groove pool, retrospective record, midi comping, automation skew. Reverb+ is something i want but thats a 6.2 desire. I also dream of containers showing up in the inspector with their nested devices - but this is low on my want list compared to everything else.
