Ah, interesting. That and cascade are pretty much my defaultsUrs wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 9:52 amA fast approximation of the CEM 3320, similar to Repro, but needed to be faster due to stereo filtering.johnnyberrygoode wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 9:43 am And on the basis of which filter was the "expanse" created?

I noticed that in the filter module, in the "Ladder" and "Cascade" modes, the images are mixed up between LP 12db and 24db, HP 12db and 24db. Or was I mistaken?u-he Basti wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 8:46 amThank you! The FMOs flap and lower knob row of the Texture Verb has been fixed now. For the 8-Tap. In FMO and on many effects (the effects matrix), the lines on the controls are still shifted slightly away from the center.

Thanks for another update. Waiting the official release. And thanks for the amazing synth! I am sure, that in the near future we will see another alternative UI for this great synth!

I agree, this is a weird change to me.misterandy wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 7:52 am What's the reason for changing the labels from "LP" and "HP" to "Filter 1" and "Filter 2" in the Noise generator? The latter both occupy more space and is less obvious.
For me, Filter 1 and Filter 2 give the impression that you can change which kind of filter you want there. While labeling them LP and HP is direct communication, there's no doubt what kind of filter you're adjusting.

It's because the filters do different things in different noise types... but yeah, mostly HP/LP... will make a note...

Consistent wording would be great, the endless possibilities of the synth are confusing enough

It probably means that there will be final bugfixing for release version 1.0 planned for early next week.
After that, there should be more features (such as an arp for example) in - let's call it version 1.1

Technically 3.1, but yes...
I believe their pattern is to release a Release Candidate next (RC) and if that goes well and no big show stoppers, release it a day or two later.
And of course then years of new features and updates etc.

People found too many little issues, so we decided to do one more beta even though we did not plan to do so.BlaBlubb2021 wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 12:52 pm Final-final-last release candidate—what does that mean?
What else is coming? Are there going to be “further” features?

Wow, that’s a lot of useful information. Thanks Urs!Urs wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 9:03 amThe original SEM design is very limited that way, also because it's capped at 16 kHz while all of our filters in Z3 now open up to 30-35 khz. Furthermore the SEM filter can be made self oscillating by soldering one extra resistor into the circuit, so we did not feel the need to live with restrictions as Zebra is not an emulation of any particular synthesiser.loctune wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 8:04 am I'd suppose the SVF filter is built upon the SEM filter. AFAIK the SEM filter does not do self oscillation, while the SVF in Zebra 3 can have a quite strong behavior when resonance pushed high.
Is this something intentionally added?
Just like the Yellow filter is a lot more versatile than the original Wasp filter design (more drive, more resonance, higher frequency range)
