one main remaining question, i downloaded the demo without any content.
But if i would install the full demo with full content pack, -> is all the content -incl. all samples etc.- also deinstalled when deinstalling the App ? ....or is a manual deinstall straight forward ? (mac )

The time stretch and pitch shifting is cool, but adding granular synthesis would seem like an obvious inclusion. Like you said, it covers most sampling, so i'd love to see them add granular.CinningBao wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 9:31 amIt does have a granular engine, so repitching-without-changing-the-length and changing-the-length-without-changing-the-pitch but if you're thinking granular clouds with feedback, no PAM doesn't do that, yet(?). I think there's enough to play with without needing that thoughsimmo75 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 3:27 am That’s a really a interesting plugin, it’s almost a complete sample manipulation tool, just needs granular.![]()

I think you misunderstand; the playback engine is granular but the engine as it currently stands (as far as I know) doesn't have the grain size, grain pitch, jitter, feedback etc parameters you might find in a regular granular playback engine. I do know enhancements are being made but I couldn't tell you if a huge granular engine is in the plan.simmo75 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 2:18 pmThe time stretch and pitch shifting is cool, but adding granular synthesis would seem like an obvious inclusion. I'd just keep an eye on plugin updates as you might get lucky!

Thanks for the info!jdkarmitage wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 11:26 amYes you can use MIDI notes to trigger cells, even as well as having an event sequence at the same time.nordickvr wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 10:19 am Can you start/play patterns using midi notes or it just plays while syncing to the DAW?
Each Cell has a 'Poly' note input toggle in its header bar as well.
Makes it even more interesting to me.

This isn't what you should be experiencing. The only 2 ways samples can be played backwards are:Arovane wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 12:01 pm Hi,
It would be nice to have in the play direction a mode
where the slices play only forward randomly instad of some slices play backwards in the random mode
- if you place the START marker ahead of the END marker
- if you manually reverse the sample with the right-click Sample->Reverse option
All samples only ever play forward. Are you absolutely sure samples are randomly being played backwards? (unless you're modulating the START/END points..)

I downloaded and activated the demo trial and tried loading samples from Sononym into PAM. Drag and drop only works for the first cell. I tried many times to drop samples onto cells 2, 3, or 4, but without success. I can only use the Load button, which does not offer any option to audition the sample before importing it.
In the pattern editor, I also could not find a way to generate random patterns instead of drawing each step manually.

Just wanted you to know that the offline activation isn't working properly, at least on my end. After I generate the machine file and create the license token, it doesn't activate PAM. Then I realized the license token was created as a text file, so I removed the .txt to make it just license-token.mb. It activated fine after that.
So even though I bought this a few days ago, I wanted to fully take in the hour and 15 min. tutorial before diving in. To everyone I say, WTFV. It seems to cover most bases. Then you realize the full power of this thing. I don't really have anything to offer technically at this point, except that you\ve done the sample gods proud and that it's going to get serious use, everywhere, always. I'll have more to ask/suggest/etc down the road but for now I'm a happy man.
Thanks for offering the core installer separate from the sample library. After seeing your busy changelog it looks like I'll be getting the base installer often.
Also, thanks for offering a rent-to-own plan, in this day and age. When I can I'll get the whole thing. Do previous payments count toward the final purchase?
And lastly, you're a bit of a junglist it seems. Booyaka!

There are some main control buttons top, right hand. One of those is doing it iirc.enCiphered wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 2:25 pm In the pattern editor, I also could not find a way to generate random patterns instead of drawing each step manually.

Not sure if this in the edit mode you wanted to have it
I was able to do that. But felt like beeing a clown. Things felt inconsistent, or not working, or only somehow working, and i ended up often enough with results i never had intended. Like having sample slots 5,6,7,8 running sequenzes while i never intended to touch these slots. => I`ve not read the manual. Could all have been user error.enCiphered wrote: Sun Apr 19, 2026 2:25 pm I downloaded and activated the demo trial and tried loading samples from Sononym into PAM. Best is: check for yourself, ignore my feedback !....but here is it anyway:
The thing felt -to me- slightly underveloped at several points. Also such things like inconsistency how the mouse would grab, etc.
Also, ...once again: to small fonts (mac), and once again the new pester in UI design: grey on grey.*
* ofcourse does it work with your nose 40cm away from a top modern laptop (macbook). But you can`t make "that" a standard.
Mixed feelings.
My verdict:
- if one wants to get the power out of it -that it certainly has- will you have to focus on that tool and put in some time.
- to give it that time, did it felt -to me- not good enough layed out to really invite me. Too incosistent, too underdeveloped at this state.
- which renders to me to: it`s overpriced. Ok for pros seeing clear uses doing Game music or so.
The price not good enough to cash in by selling in numbers ( which would be the strategy of adaptive and clever people)
everything under: that was just me, YMMV
yeah, i also installed only the core installer. So i had nothing to look at and analyse.
The better solution could be here a "minimal content" install. Just a few samples, just a few patterns etc. So you have food for analysis

Hey Funky40,Funky40 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 11:43 amThat sounds good.CinningBao wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 11:19 am You can create a sequencer for literally any parameter. Just right-click and select the sequencer option on the right.
ok, i might gonna install the demo tonight
Ok, synced for internal recordingCinningBao wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 11:19 am The Looper records the cell->channel, sync'd to the transport for 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 bars, or the normal sync'd divisions you might see, from 1/32triplet to 1/2dotted.
But there is also an option to record Audio from outside.
I would guess it will be a synced recording too ?....just guessing. ( would be my preference)
Thank You !
The dev literally added this feature in the last day, you can now sync-record from any other cell (it will always start from the start of the sequence) or from the side-chain input!
Changelog here: https://map.audio/changelog
Enjoy

Jeez Louise does the guy sleep? That's a busy changelog there. I'd get the core installer but it looks like more factory presets were added, twice, since my first download. Not that I'm complaining now!

Had a blast with PAM this weekend, she's nuts!
I do agree that the text is fairly hard to read on a macbook, that's my only complaint so far, even when full screen.

I had a similar thought - "This looks like it's in the spirit of AudioMulch and Ableton Live for next-level creative realtime resampling". And I had to double-check that a "sampler" actually samples - this one does! Can't really spend on this now, but def on the list.simmo75 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 4:55 pm Why did I decide to demo this... Oh my days...
I think I'll be buying it today, what an absolute blast!
It gives me the vibes like Ableton Live 1 felt..
