I'm currently working on a tutorial that shows how to set it up with Kontakt and LoopMIDI.
In the meantime, any feedback would be super helpful. Thanks a lot!
Okay, now that I know you have to enable record and not just play (you need to redo your video) I got it to make sounds. Useful sounds is another story. And so far, testing Kontakt and Opus, I get different results.

Opus - When I set it up as soon as I hit record and start the piano roll, I get no sound. I check Opus and all the tracks got muted. Since all MIDI data is coming from Texturium, somehow it is Texturium that is muting the tracks. I had to change the MIDI channel assignments in Opus for each track from 1,2,3,4,5 to Omni. Then it works except every instrument sounds with each note. IOW, 5 violins playing, 5 2nd violins playing and so on. It is an absolute racket. But at least I get polyphonic playback.

Kontakt - Nothing gets muted but only plays monophonically. Doesn't matter how many keys I hold down to play a chord. I only get one note sounding all 5 instruments.

That's where I am. I haven't tried Vienna Ensemble yet.

In order to test out your video exactly, I need to know what actual instruments you loaded for each channel. Perhaps mine are monophonic for some reason. Without knowing your exact instruments I can't duplicate your setup.

Texturium is now completely free for everyone.
All details and download in the first post.
I won't complain about the price of $0 for a great tool, but why the sudden change of heart?
Ideas are more valuable than money.
Not complaining but just to clarify, is this release free for good once you have the license or a time limited beta/demo?

It’s completely free and has no time restrictions.
Once there are enough users on the community texturium community, I’ll be able to dedicate more time to developing Texturium 2, which will likely be a paid version. I need you to help each other with the others to use the plugin.
That said, this tool is incredibly useful for producers — and I’m saying this as a producer myself. It introduces a completely new way of composing music. It feels almost too valuable to put behind a paywall at this stage.

Ho usato gli strumenti della 8DIO, con obs potresti farmi un video postarlo su youtube privato, e inviarmi il link con il workflow cosi capisco cosa sta succedendo?

Um, can you possibly post this in English?

Regardless, I have made a major breakthrough. I have figured this thing out to a point. The results you get are hugely instrument dependent and greatly unpredictable. I have come up with some interesting results to say the least. But controlled to the point where I can create a specific composition to sound exactly as I want? Not even close. There seems to be too many random variables. Depending on how you play the keyboard (legato, slide legato, stac, etc) you get completely different results playing the exact same notes.

Is this a hoot loud of fun? Absolutely. Would I use it to create a song? Not yet, unless I want to do something total avant-garde.

Sorry for forgetting to write in English earlier.
I used the 8DIO instruments. With OBS, could you make a video for me, upload it as private on YouTube, and send me the link together with the workflow? That way I can better understand what’s happening.

Predicting the future is unfortunately quite difficult. However, in the settings I added a slider at the very bottom. That slider wasn’t there when I made the tutorial — back then I was setting it through code — but I decided to make it user-customizable.
In short, Inner Voice Delay adds an extra latency before the inner voices change notes. This is because when you play, for example, 3 voices and then change one note, for a brief moment you only have 2 voices. The SATB algorithm then reassigns the notes for the 2-voice setting. By setting the delay above 60ms, this situation is greatly reduced. If you increase it further, you can achieve even slower and smoother transitions.

I'll keep experimenting and if I still need help, I'll make that video.

FWIW, this thing is like going through a fun house for the first time. You don't know what to expect.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the delay — I’ve had some computer issues these past few days, so it took me a while to get to work on this. But I finally managed to do it.
Please excuse the AI voice, my English isn’t great, so I thought it would be better if she spoke instead of me.

Hmm... I managed to get a license, but the download page is just this:
{"error":true,"message":"Unauthorized"}

EDIT: That's what I get from the link in the license key email. I managed to download it from the user are of the website. :tu:
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Customize the Interface & Join Development

Hi everyone,

I want to let you know that inside the plugin, if you open the Settings section, you can fully customize the interface.

There is an “Open Folder” button that will take you directly to the templates folder. This is where you can create and modify your own interface files.

Texturium will automatically load your custom interfaces as long as they use the exact correct names. All the required names and references can be found inside the “Interface Reference” folder, where you’ll also find all the visual assets used by the UI.

The release was slightly rushed, so I didn’t have time to design all the possible interface variations. That’s why I’d love to involve you in this process.

If you’re interested, you can:

Create your own interface designs
Experiment with different visual styles
Record videos showing your custom versions and workflows

This kind of contribution would be incredibly helpful for the evolution of the plugin.

If you want to participate, feel free to jump in and experiment.

Thank you!

Help Spread the Word – Create Videos with My Plugin

Hi everyone,

If you’ve downloaded my plugin, I’d really appreciate your help in spreading it.

One of the most effective ways to do that is through videos. If you can record your workflow using the plugin inside your DAW, it would make a huge difference.

To get started, you can use OBS for screen recording and Voicemeeter Banana for audio routing:

Install OBS Studio and set it to capture your screen or DAW window
Use Voicemeeter Banana to route your DAW audio into OBS
In your DAW, select Voicemeeter as the output device
In OBS, set Voicemeeter as your audio input source
Record your session while using the plugin in a real project

Even short clips, sound design sessions, or experiments are extremely valuable.

I released this software for free, so I haven’t received any compensation for it. If you’d like to support the project, you can help by creating and sharing content, or, if you prefer, you can buy me a coffee via Buy Me a Coffee or PayPal. Every contribution is truly appreciated and helps me continue improving the plugin.

Thanks a lot to anyone who decides to contribute.

Can it import midi files as clips?
Can it transpose the clips based on the chord that I'm playing?

Yes, you can import and export a MIDI clip by simply dragging it.
Every track is monophonic. Writing chords can cause instability in the MIDI routing.
To play a melody pattern using the arpeggiator:

Select the desired track
Enable the arpeggiator and choose the pattern you want to run the sequence through

Select the key you want to play in (for example, C Major).
When you play, the lowest note you press will set the root of the sequence. It respects the intervals between each note, but forces everything into the specific key you selected.

Texturium inner vst.png
I'm working on this for you! Tomorrow I should be able to release version 1.01, where I'm implementing the ability to load plugins directly inside Texturium — both in the standalone version and the DAW (plugin) version.
This will make the setup process much simpler. Unfortunately, for now I'm still struggling to find a good strategy to allow multi-track voice recording without using the old method, but I'll find a solution.
Right now, you can select INT (Internal Voice), then in the VST Host load the plugin you want, assign the MIDI channel and audio output port.
The setup to make it play will be much quicker and less cumbersome. You also won't have thousands of instrument tracks cluttering your DAW anymore. For recording voices in multi-track, you'll still need to use the MIDI ports for now.
The main issue with Cubase and many other DAWs is this:
The DAW's recording routing follows the MIDI keyboard directly. So it records the raw MIDI coming straight from your keyboard and immediately loops it back, completely bypassing Texturium’s processing.
I'm trying to insert myself in the middle of this chain, but I haven't solved it yet.
Here's a simple diagram of what's happening:
textKeyboard MIDI ──► DAW Recording Routing ──► Records MIDI directly

└─► Plays back the original keyboard MIDI
(bypasses Texturium completely)
Texturium tries to process the MIDI and generate the final sound, but the DAW ignores it during recording and just captures what the keyboard sends.
I hope you find this update useful. I should be able to make this new feature available tonight or tomorrow.
