I was about to buy Tracktion but thought I would check the forums first. There seems to be a lot of talk about version 2 coming out so I would like people's opinion - should I wait for T2 (as I already have Magix Music Studio) or buy now if I think version 1 does all I need?(does it have plug-in delay compensation?)

Also, if I wait for T2 but cannot afford it because the cost increases beyond what I can pay, would version 1 still be available?

Thanks
S. Ted

Yes.

As I understand it, registered T1 users will be able to upgrade to T2 for no more than the price difference between them, so you could buy T1 now and if it suits you as it is then you don't need to upgrade.

djs believe it or not you can go download the demo and it will work fully even letting you save songs and render files and stuff ,They sort of place there bets on you likin it so much you'll buy it (I ended up buying every plugin aswell cause each time you buy one it makes the next one cheaper if that makes sense ,Yo have a little meter in your account and everytime you buy something the discount bar goes up :)

CPU im getting a full track goin in FL then 4 Wusikstations 5 Microtonics(but they dont count because they dont ever use CPU)and all my FX no probs and its a Centrino 1.5 with 512 thats about 90% CPU in T.(edit* sorry that didnt make sense the Wusiks an MT's and all my FX are in T and FL is running as a plug in T)

Hope that helps and im a DJ aswell so i expect im prolly using some similar techniques to yerself

There is only one problem with FL.....
All the finished songs sound like .... they were done in FL.
No seriously there is just something about it that effects the end result.
I hear songs on the net and I can instantly tell it was done in FL.

Once I heard the same effect on my songs I deleted the FL demo.
(or at least tried, the bastards do not supply an uninstall, just for that they deserve the bad publicity they are getting from me)

Just go to control panel add remove programs and uninstall FL ,Works fine for everyone i know ? ,I bet theres plenty of tunes that have used FL in one form or another that you didn't pick up on ,FL is a plug that can be used as a synth sampler drum machine or whatever inside T so it should sound like the musician who made the track not the sequencer
