Hey there! I'm putting together a new DAW for my studio, and have been looking into the UAD-1 card as something to add a little extra to my system.
I'm a very happy T1 user looking forward to T2.. my question is.. I faintly recall seeing that there were problems with Tracktion and the UAD-1, I searched and found a few things from long ago.. but nothing recent, really.
Does anyone have any experience with Tracktion and the UAD-1? And, if Beno reads this, has anyone tested T2 with the UAD-1?
If there's no joy with the UAD-1, I'm going to spend the cash to put a top of the line Athlon FX in the new DAW instead (ouch! The cost.. but.. oh well).
Thanks in advance for any information!

I use 3 UAD-1 with Tracktion on an AMD 2800 xp+ (VIA Chipset is best).
1.5 gig ram.
No issues at all. Of all the programs I own, Tracktion works the best with my UAD-1.
I can't wait for T2.
Go for it!

A 3000+ 64 would roast an XP2000 in every which way.

Cool.. looks like I'll just get an Athlon64 3400+ and shove a UAD-1 in there to p1mp it up. That and 2GB of RAM should give me a decent DAW for at least...

I use UAD-1 and Tracktion no problems but...
If you play live and want to monitor the instrument live, note that UAD-1 with add double the latency to your system.
So if your sound card has 3ms and you add reverb to that live guitar you will end up with 9ms total.
After a lot of tweeking (ask me if you need) and running Tracktion in "real time priority mode" my card latency is down to 1.4ms or 4.2ms with UAD-1 running live. (the poco is much worst in this department)

BTW UAD-1 is a real killer, you will never see plugs the same way.

That's a decent amount of firepower. Coupled with the UAD, that's the equivalent of about 3 XP2000s...
