Holding [SHIFT] while editing fades will snap again (a regression) [41408]
Automation clips on an audio track are now stopped when the track (or group) level is stopped
Touch screen: the loop enable gesture in the header (when Clip context editing, or with the Arranger loop) works again
Dragging an Arranger time selection of a partial clip no longer creates alias clips — unless requested [41357]
Context menu no longer shows multiple separators in a row, ever [41417]
Selecting tracks whilst selecting Arranger clips now works for group tracks too [41377]
It is now possible to save a specific project after deleting a modulator [41407]

Crashes Fixed

Comping Editor:
Fixed crash when double-clicking a Take lane, in some cases [41386]
Fixed crash when sliding a comp region [41338]
Fixed a rare crash when dragging Launcher clips [41207]
Fixed a rare crash when dragging stuff between projects [40075]
Fixed crash when stretching a mixed selection of note and automation clips, in some cases [40553]

Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it's pretty bad. On Mac at least. It's a crash fest. I don't recommend it. Better to wait for a more stable version. I downgraded to 6.0.3 while waiting for a stable release.

I also downgraded to 6.0.3 on Mac.

I’m still in no rush to upgrade from 5….seems they have had some issues getting 6 stable.

Yeah, it's gonna be a few more bug fix iterations... the crashing with 6.0.4 seems to only be Mac peeps. 6.0.3 is fine. But there are still a number of small issues. Wait another month or two.

What exactly is causing the crashes?

I've been using 6.0.4 on Intel today and it has not been a problem at all, I'm a basic user though!

Post

Nobody knows, maybe the developer already identified the culprit. It seems to be a thing on Mac (Apple silicon?).

Post

That's what I'm wondering, if it just non-Intel. I'll install it on my Mac mini today...

Edit: It's totally arsed on my Mac mini M1, had to force quit it twice before giving up. So looks like an Apple Silicon issue.

Post

Yes, seems to be a Mac Silicon issue, as it crashes here too ... (M2 pro, Tahoe)

Post

Mac Silicon Crash Fest here also..

Post

commenting that its stable for me on sequoia 15.7.3 on my m4. it would be nice if people posted what os# they were on.
Bitwig 6 • Diva, Dune, Serum, and UVI Falcon are my Daily Drivers • Drum Machines • Harrison 32c + DSM 3 + American Class A Enjoyer • Apple M4 Max • Apollo User • DJ • Dance Music is life

Post

15.7.3 Intel. Stable.

Post

Downgraded to 6.0.3 here as well due to constant crashes (thank God for autosaves / recover), this is running on a Apple M4 Pro with 48 GB of memory and Tahoe 26.4.1

Post

6.0.5 is available and it fixes the Mac crashes from 6.0.4
