Can i trigger exiter from a mapper? it won't react to highest peaks, just trigger at the cycle start at random.

The only limitation I've found is the relatively small number of modulation sources for such a complex synth. By themselves, they are incredibly flexible and can certainly be used creatively. However, it often gets in the way when you want to add movement to a parameter, but find that all your envelopes and LFOs are already exhausted. Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there any technical reason not to add something like 16x separate LFOs and 16x separate envelopes?
Look at Serum 2. Some of its presets are using LFOs for almost any parameter. Those are the most shittiest presets there with the huge CPU load. I don't know why those preset makers were allowed to do anything in Serum 2. In fact, those presets vibes could be easily replicated with just two LFOs and vibrato. That's what happens if "wub-wub" kids are allowed to make presets. The point of my post? Zebra already has enough modulation sources to cover anything.

Was hoping i could get some tips on recreating this patch in Zebra3.

Rebuilding the waveforms in the editor from scratch from surprisingly successful..

I notice the Comb filter module on Zebra2 has a lot of controls not present on the Zebra3 one. I have not been able to recreate the "air" layer's sound so far.

I love these 80s pan flute patches from the Hybrid preset pack for Zebra2. I've always relied on these presets and tweaked them to taste but there aren't any presets like that built in to Zebra3 so now I'm taking the time to learn how design one myself

Note: People who purchased a Zebra 2 license before November 1st 2022 (i.e. before Zebra Legacy was introduced) should check https://u-he.com/my-licenses/ for upgrade option. We currently don't offer a crossgrade path to owners of Zebra Legacy (as communicated on our website).
From March 2025:
Hey, long time no see :)

We are currently thinking about introductory offers for Zebra 3 and there's a chance that we'll have an exclusive one for owners of Zebra Legacy (Zebra 2 licenses purchased prior to Zebra Legacy have a regular upgrade path anyway).

So much for that promise then :-(

A chance is not a promise…?

You're forgetting the introductory offer of 179 euro for pre-orders during the beta phase. That was pretty reasonable, considering the absolute steal that was Zebra Legacy.

It would have been easy to implement for a regular parameter, but posed some challenges (don’t remember the details), since these four parameters are tied to a MIDI CC. We’ll surely look at this again for an update.
No hurry, no worry. Cool if this gets attention somewhere down the line, but there surely are more pressing matters to attend to.
I haven't done anything with the Ctrl knobs yet -- not even assigned things to them -- so I might be missing something (I bet I am), but I'm not even sure a bipolar macro knob is really doing something a unipolar knob couldn't do.

Just tried this simple experiment, assigning Ctrl A to filter cutoff. The full cutoff range is of course 0-150. Set cutoff to 75, and Unipolar CtrlA mod depth such that Ctrl A opens the filter from 75 to, say, 100 (75 + 25). Now switch Ctrl A to bipolar: the range of Ctrl A now seems to be 50-100 (75 ± 25). BUT… that's the same as using a unipolar knob with a 50-100 mod depth range… isn't it?

Still have the feeling I'm overlooking something obvious here… Feel free to enlighten me :).

Without owning the Z2 Patch it's difficult to give tipps .

What i would do in this case:

Send pink noise to the comb filter. Now do the same in Z3 and try to find settings which match the Z2 settings sonically and in the analyser.

IMO - Scatter in modal module should have some random patterns build in (it plays the same pattern now), Atomize should have 3x/2x longer range.

First off: Congrats for the release of this beast!
Didn't have much time during the last weeks, so I'm really only starting to explore it a bit more now. Enjoying quite some sounds a whole lot already!

Anyhow, one question: How do I convert patches so they show up straight in Logics library browser? Gotta admit I forgot how it was done in Z2 - and all I can find now is rightclick > Convert to h2p, which the patches already are. Anyone on this?

Then, a pretty small thing I noticed: In the preset browser, you can't grab the horizontal scrollbar. It does react to the scrollwheel and you can as well click left and right of it, but grabbing it isn't possible it seems (does work with all other scrollbars). As said, a pretty minor thing but it seems a little inconsistent.

is the introductory price code available anywhere? I would really hate to have missed this as I was away this week, after following the beta process all the way through. Any help appreciated!
