Hi!
I’m experiencing a lot of playback errors on Pro Tools. Exactly 6101 playback error, it happens when clicking to load the GUI with any of your plugins . It doesn't happen with the VST wrapped version just the AAX version

What is your buffer size? Could you ensure it is 512 and see if it improves?jeam wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2026 4:54 pm Hi!

What is your OS/Protools version?jeam wrote: Wed Apr 08, 2026 5:36 am Yes, the buffer size won't make a difference; the issue persists at 512 too!

Im using Pro Tools is 2025.12.1 BUT also have the new Beta as I I'm a beta tester and have the issue in both versions.
The OS is Tahoe but I'm seeing this since Sequoia beta and public release versions. My computer is Mac Studio Ultra M1.

Have you tried the solution proposed in the screenshot? i.e., disabling "Optimize Performance at Low Buffer Sizes" in the Playback Engine Dialog?jeam wrote: Thu Apr 09, 2026 3:20 am Im using Pro Tools is 2025.12.1 BUT also have the new Beta as I I'm a beta tester and have the issue in both versions.

Hi yes!
As a beta tester, I am accustomed to testing everything in an attempt to resolve a problem or identify an issue. I have tested every option in Pro Tools Playback menu and combinations of two or more options. Additionally, I have tested various settings on the plugin itself, hoping to uncover a potential solution, but without success. Like I said in the Original Post the error comes when click the plug insert to make the GUI visible during playing back a session. There are 2 errors that pops -6101 and -9173. Posting a video in the nest reply
Also like said : OS is Tahoe but I'm seeing this since Sequoia beta and public release versions so is a long time issue im seeing

As a note of interest, I have had crashes in Cubase as well when opening the Ample Sound GUI during playback. This is currently under Windows 11, but it goes as far back as Windows 7. I simply resorted to pausing playback before opening any Ample Sound GUI.

And it's getting buggier! On the last days, sometimes it crashes Pro Tools entirely with no error splash screen when clicking the default box parameter. No other plugin in my system does this.

Are you using the newest plugins? If yes, could you send us the crash report (.dmp file)?mountainmaster wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 5:48 am As a note of interest, I have had crashes in Cubase as well when opening the Ample Sound GUI during playback. Does it crash randomly or only when you are editing somethings?jeam wrote: Tue Apr 21, 2026 8:39 pm And it's getting buggier! On the last days, sometimes it crashes Pro Tools entirely with no error splash screen when clicking the default box parameter. No other plugin in my system does this.

Hi, like I said in my original post, the error happens when you click the plugin to see the GUI of the plugin while playing back a session. The crash is random but almost all the time when clicking the default preset box in the plugin menu.
